The primer in your second coat is reacting with the paint in your first coat. Don't use paint with a primer if you are doing a color change. Primer is designed for a clean surface, and/or one that may have issues holding paint. Basically, the primer in your second coat is trying to dissolve your first coat, and making a mess of it. To do it best, first use a white plastic primer, then coat with a black top coat, then seal with a clear coat.

This morning I woke up early, before the blizzard hit, went down to Lowes and got a generator and some gas, then took it to haul my friend's labradoodle and Goldendoodle to the trainers (before they decided to close for weather), then back to her place to put her snowblower together, then to Panera to pick up some pastries to settle in, cozy up, and survive the snow.

From the time I left at 0640 to the time I pointed the truck back to my home at ~0900 the skies went from clear to about 40 yards visibility and clear wet roads to about 2" of wet-pack. The little Taco handled it without a hiccup.

One thing that I don't like about the truck (and a way it suffers from the Silverado it replaces) is that I have to be at 45mph to engage 4x4. I could hit the 4x4 at any speed on the Chevy...[/QUOTE]

I know there has already been 10 responses on this, so here is mine. If I am going faster than 40mph then I do not need 4WD. and if I feel like i need 4WD then I should be going less than 40mph. Now maybe if were talking the BAJA 1000 then things would be different, but I use my 4WD for Ice/snow. I prefer not to be a sliding brick at 70mph.

By far the best Mod, had mine for a year and has held up great!

I believe this site pulls from factory specs. supposed to be 31.7.

Flushed my power steering with Dexron 4 yesterday. Can't say I feel any difference but the fluid is now clean. Next will be the axles and T-case then radiator.

Washed, waxed and detailed! Took Betty to the park on lunch, just had to get out for a drive. :)

    spring 2019.jpg

Also replaced my wiper blades this weekend with these from Costco. Can't beat $5.99! Time will tell if they outlast the RainX brand, with 20k on them and 4 seasons, that I just took off. There were 22 1 star reviews on these and out of that 22 only 2 of them had anything to do with how the wipers performed. All I can do is shake my head when I see people leave bad reviews because they cannot install a wiper blade. I did the 2 on the Taco and the 2 on my wife's Suburban in 5 minutes or less. Idiocracy is here already! hahaha

Ahhhhh, that makes a lot of sense... I was thinking it might have something to do with that but I wasn't sure. I'm sandblasting the entire housing and going all black anyway.
