I am still waiting for Ole Brett's video instruction on how to weave a "Traction Mat" out of branches and Live Rattle Snakes. :D

I was just thinking the other day how I would have really liked to have traction boards so I could break trail by myself. Wife didn’t want to get stuck so we didn’t break trail...

Would those not tear up your tires more than the plastic if you started slipping?

I understood that you want to stop regardless if you start spinning on traction boards.

I think the result would be the same for most tires spinning on metal teeth

If he had duracraps the sidewalls would explode just looking at traction boards.

Anything plastic will get brittle in the cold, all brands, all makes. I've used mine and they work great for 100 bucks. No way am I gonna drop 3 bills on something that is meant as a recovery option that will wear down and break when I can get the same thing else where for 1/3 the price. ZFG about expo points, if it works then I'll use it

Those are def an improved design so I believe mine are 1st gen. But at the time I think they were still $220 a pair but 31" not 38"
Then the pros came out which were longer. Still a good deal for the 4 though.

@YamaDirtrider or whomever else has the skills to pay the bills:

@3378jakesr5 built my bed rack designed to go over my Softopper (which has been fantastic). However, since he's likely tied up in his girlfriend's basement, I'm turning to you: I "built" a contraption to hold my MaxTraxxxxxxx on the side of the rack. It is so janky, that I'm not even going to show a picture of it because I'm not going to jail again. How hard, if at all possible, would it be to weld something on the existing rack to hold the boards properly? I do have the locking mounts that MaxxxxxxxTraxx sells. Of course, I could just toss them into the bed of the truck whenever I take it out, but I figured if it was easy and not terribly expensive to go with the mount first.
