I had planned a full day of wheeling to get to fishing for the weekend. Taking a different route to the lake all on dirt. I have taken the pavement way a hundred times. Had a few other trucks tagging along. On the first section we ran into a couple of dodges. They we at the bottom of one of the chutes and decided to stick around and watch the carnage of my truck coming down it. Lost the rest of my rear bumper coming off the last waterfall. Got to the bottom and chatted with them until the other trucks caught up on the bypass. We finish that trail (cleghorn) with the Dodgers and move on to the next one (pilot rock).
While at the trail head preparing and making sure everyone was on the same page showing my map to one of the guys. I stuck my phone back in my pocket after getting things straight and jogged back to my truck. Apparently my phone fell out on that jog, trucks were lined up and we needed to make a u turn. I got back in my truck and started it and began rolling out to make the u trun and as I was doing so reaching for my pocket. No phone!!!! Oh shit!!! Panic mode sets in because with out it I can't do the 3rd section with out a map. I park after doing the u turn and begin hunting hoping it's just on the ground. I find it, to my relief, but turn it over. Its smashed and dead. Kinda put a big damper on the weekend. There is more to this story as it was not a great weekend.

    Great story!
My grandma was a snuff dipper. Started when she was 12. She had an older snuff dipping sister and they both lived into their late 90's.
So, my great aunt told me (after my grandma died) that my grandma always got a dip before she went to bed and spit it out when she got up in the morning. So one night when my great aunt was 97, she thought having a dip all night and waking up with it sounded pretty good. So she threw in a chew one night and said she woke up around midnight puking.

Was it "Levi-Garrett" snuff? In the brown bottle I see at antique stores now for $5.00 each? We must have thrown enough of those away to finance a full Icon lift kit.

Good for you! I quit drinking and smoking years ago but trying to quit dipping hasn't worked out too well. I've been doing it for 30 years. I once quit for 8 days and my wife went and bought me a can cause I was being such a dick.
