I've been contemplating getting that same GPS unit you got, but also getting a smallish tablet and using GIAA and some other maps as well. Now that I have some places to mount them it is more of a possibility/reality than before. Hmmmmm that's an idea my B-day is coming up maybe the kiddo can get me the GPS unit for it.

You can take this unit and search out OR trails, find one and it will take you directly to it. You can also plot your own trails as you go if you want and share them through twitter or something. It also shows you difficulty levels, terrain, 4wd or 2wd, mud, snow, whatever the conditions are on the trail even different degrees of angle at different points

Yeah I have been reading up on it. There are some places it falls short on where a map app like GIAA picks up on. Just not sure I want to spend the $$$$$ per month on a tablet and then access to those apps. You can show it to me this weekend although I am pretty sure I will get one regardless. It's the Magellen correct?
