Where are the parking break switch wires/connectors on 2013 Tacoma with manual transmission?

I've read several posts across the webernet. These don't answer directly.

If you want to encourage me to connect my radio's parking break sensor wire to ground, please, I've been encouraged. Most of the response to this same question encourage the poster to do the same. Even if in the end I ground that wire, I still want to know where these wires are.

Thanks to this wonderful post, I was able to identify exactly what to look for. Attached is an image of the wiring and connectors used in the parking break switch circuit. I created the image by combining screen snapshots into a single image, so don't think this image exists exactly in this way in the source document. If you would like to check my work, start on page 7 of section with header "Audio System <Separate type amplifier> navigation system". There are multiple sections showing the parking break switch, but they look similar enough.

I think I'm looking for one of two connections. I can tap either, I think.
    1) a green/red wire from pin 6 of a 16-pin connector (R17) to pin 16 of a 20-pin connector (DB), or
    2) a green/yellow wire from pin 3 of a 16-pin connector (DD) towards the parking break switch.

Has anyone seen these in their 2G Tacoma?

    Thanks for your assistance.
    John

P.S. I'm curious, in the diagram, what is the grey box with the double headed arrow? A fuse? If a fuse, should I expect to find DB and DD in the fuse panel?

That grey box is a junction block/connector.

The Gray is a schematic showing a connection. DB & DD are connectors in a junction box. They are located in the driver's side kick panel.

Thanks. That is very helpful. I'm much closer.

The drawing represents the back and the front of the junction box, it seems. The top block has two vertical bands on the face. The bottom block as no bands on the face, but has some tabs that imply its the reverse side of the top block. I guess inside the junction box, all these wires are criss-crossing over each other to connect pins on one face to pins on the other.

Which can I expect to be outward and visible once the kick panel cowl is removed?

Why are the pins for each connector shown twice, as like a mirror? When I look for pin 3 of DD, would I look at the bottom left or bottom right?

There are many wires in the kick panel. These last question just narrow it down somewhat. I'm grateful for helping.

    John

You are seeing the junction and the connectors to the junction.

If you notice, all connectors are of different amounts of slots...

So the pictures are as if you unplug it, and turn it around so you can see the pins on both female and male sides (hence mirror imagine)

    Thanks.

I haven't had time to use this information. I reply now to avoid too much time before saying thanks.

The information above is high quality. The picture of the connectors in a real truck is extremely valuable, and so is the Toyota circuit book.

Hi, sorry but I only got time to look today. Thanks again for your help.

Above picture shows two connectors I pulled to look for the wire. It matches caribes's picture, yes? I've got the right junction box I'm sure.

My trucks connector wiring do not match the connector diagrams above. My DB does not have a G-Y or a G-R in any pin. My DD has a G-Y but not in pin 3 as the diagram.

    So I have doubt.

Found it. That is if M/T means manual transmission. I found it in the DC connector, pin 15.

    Thanks.
