Will have to update my height later. Planning on getting Control arms and would be best to do it all in one shot

Sure am. Just ordered JBA control arms and spidertrax tonight. Hopefully I can get them on this month or the first of April. Just gotta find time to do so!

To update. Just finished up the install on my control arms and went up to the 2nd notch.

What a difference! I actually like the ride better, it’s a little stiffer and not so floaty. Also truck is now level in my opinion.

Measured from center hub to fender- 23” Passenger side, almost 23” driver side

The 3rd gen Tacos are 300lbs heavier in the front stock than the 2nd gen...which is why the stock TRD OR springs are 700lb.

Don’t run less than a 650# spring or you are asking for sag

Interesting.. I just installed mine and it’s far from floaty? Then again nothing is as floaty as the OEM off road suspension. Maybe they get softer as they settle? But I’m loving the results! I wish I would’ve measured mine before I lifted it.

Settling occurs after 1000-2000 miles depending on driving

So with OME springs, 886 would be the only ones that wouldn’t sag...If I knew that I would have when with the 886 instead of the 888. Sigh. Lesson learned

Awesome. Glad the bump up helped. I might do my fronts soon too. I don't think they're sagging from the original height but they just didn't give me as much lift as I had hoped for. The sway bar delete also might affect it also though, when not sitting on level ground.

How’s the ride without the swaybar? Ima do a road trip specifically for some trail riding and wanted to get rid of it.

I had mine off for a few months...couldn’t stand it as the front end was “rolling” in turns. I ended up putting it back on with sway bar drop brackets

It rides awesome. I think it's a preference thing though so my suggestion is to just try it and see if you like it. Lots of people think the truck will gain massive amounts of body roll but that hasn't been my experience. The best way to explain it is the difference between a sports car's tight suspension and a minivans softer suspension. You'll notice a little bit more body roll but it ain't bad. The thing that I've noticed the most is how good it feels to go over bumps, especially when one wheel goes over it before the other. The sway bar almost acts like a straight axle in the sense the the wheels kind of articulate together, so having it off really let's the two wheels operate fully independently.

I know I’m bringing back an old thread here but I also have the OME 888 5100s and have noticed some pretty good sag. I’ve had them for over a year and just put on some 285/70/17s - getting lots of rub and sag.

OP, Has your ride stayed pretty level since you did UCAs and went to the next notch? Which UCAs did you go with?

FYI you aren't supposed to go up a notch with the 888's because you will get coil bind when you're fully stuffed. If you've got larger aftermarket bump stops you may be okay but it's hard to say. I haven't noticed any sag with my 888's but I'm about to throw a bumper and winch on so I'm going to have to get something else anyway.

There was a distributer that had a statement in their listing that the 2nd notch was the highest to go with OME. I just looked and can’t find it. I researched this intensely. Pulled the trigger to experiment, went wheeling and had no issues.

I installed JBA uppers. HOWEVER visually I notice a sag. Will have to measure when I get a free chance to compare. If they did sag I’m doing top spacers or just going to spend my $$& with another company.

I ended up moving my 5100's up and am really happy with it. I was measuring 23" from center hub to fender, now i'm measuring 24" and with the 285s am not rubbing anymore. No CMC or anything. Looks way more leveled and rides really nicely.

Looks killer but that's a lot of lift. Most people don't recommend going over 23". I would definitely check your CV boots to see if the fins are rubbing.

I'm on 2888 coils with 33's and I'm measuring 37" from ground to fender. Feel like the front sits really low. Ive had the coils on for around a year now. I think the measurement from ground to fender with no lift and 33's is 36". Can anyone provide insights on their measurement with 2888s from fender to ground?
