Mine are P rated. I don’t see any point in going with the LT unless your doing really intense wheeling

I went falkens as well. KO2s hurt the pocket too much! But the falkens have not let me down! I'll be sticking with these next go around as well!

Seriously considering the falkens in 285 75 16. Currently running that size with Toyo Open country AT2 LTs. For replacements had same debate of KO2s vs Falkens and considered Duratracks but ruled them out because I heard they become fairly noisy ride and price is high like KO2s.

    Few questions...

    1. Do the 285 Falkens only come in LT 10 ply tire? Looks that way from what I have seen.

    2. If the 285s come in P rating also do they look any less aggressive than the LTs?

    3. Are most people having trouble getting the Falkens balanced well? I have Mickey Thompson classic wheels and can only fit really thin weights because of calipers.

    4. Where's everyone getting the best price on these tires? Car ID has 285 LTs for about $200 each but I feel like I can do better.

    5. Does Falken have any warranty? I know KO2s have about 55k warranty or 6 year depending on if you get the DT (Different Tread) model or regular KO2.

    Thanks in advance

Some tire sizes on WP’s only come in LT. I’m looking at the 255/80/17 and it’s the same. They have a 55k warranty. Silica compound only comes in P-Metric sizes.

I see a lot of folks saying Falkens because they’re lighter. Are you guys running 265/75-16s? 265/70-17s falkens in P are about the same weight as KO2s in C so I’m torn on which one to go with. Love the price of the falkens but I think the KO2s look better.

BFG doesn’t make AT in 255/80/17 or a 255/85/16 so it’s easy for me.

I just got the Falkens 265/75/16. I really love how the ko2’s Look but after hearing some of the issues people have had I decided to go with the falkens. I did my thorough research and pulled the trigger. I got them yesterday and all I gotta say is WOW. I am so impressed and satisfied not only with how they look but also how they handle. I was afraid they wouldn’t look aggressive enough but damn they sure look aggressive in person. Now I know what people mean when they would say that the pictures don’t do them justice.

    The falkens are great.

We had heavy rain so I was finally able to test it out and wow, couldn't make the truck break loose no matter what, at taking off or punching it down when I was already driving.

My old rugged terrains were so shitty in the rain that it was dangerous. The only thing I will miss were the easy "burnouts" when taking off lol.

I went with Falkens too because of the price. It was a no brainer for me.

I have ran Ko2's for years and have zero complaints on or off road, I like the looks better than the wildpeak but I have been thinking about trying the wildpeaks because of the price.

Sorry for my limited knowledge but, do tires go bad?
I wanna snag the wildpeaks for about 100 bucks a tire but I got some tires with good thread left. Thinking of buying them and have em in storage in my warehouse.
    Thoughts?

I've been running the 265/75/16 Wildpeak ATW3's for about 10,000 miles now with no issues. Have had KO2's on past trucks and the sidewall would start showing cracks (like the material was rotting?) while the tread was still at about 50%. Have heard BF Goodrich tires are notorious for sidewall issues (cracking).

Just ordered new tires and had to go back with ko2's. For true off road I feel the ko2 is a better tire and the wildpeak just doesn't have enough grit to it for what I want and need. But the wildpeak's do seem like a good tire for certain purposes.

How’s the sidewall feel on SL rated Wildpeaks? I’m hoping going from my stock TRD OR wheel/tire combo to the 17” TRD Pro wheels and 265/70/17 tire will firm up the ride a little bit. Wildpeaks are not known for a “squishy” sidewall are they? Also, do the SLs look the same as the E rated version? Do the SLs look less aggressive?

Think I have my tire choices narrowed down to the K02, Toyo AT IIs, Cooper Discovery 4S, and the Wildpeaks. Decisions...decisons..

I can’t comment on sl vs e sidewalls, but compared to my stock tires sl wildpeak seem beefier.

The sl and lt tread are essentially the same pattern. Thread #142 below.

I had KO2s on my PreRunner for a couple years before I sold it and no complaints even though I never got a chance to take them off road. I'm also deciding between another set of KO2 or the W/P AT3. I'm leaning toward the KO2s again but curiosity causes me to wonder if AT3s are better? I find it interesting that America's tire says that KO2 is the "best" option even though the "AT3" has better reviews in almost every category? KO2 is on the right. It also seems as if the AT3 on the left has much higher load rating "E1" so it may be a rougher ride?

I've gone through 9 different Falken Wildpeaks. Maybe it's my truck, maybe it's my wheels, maybe it's the tires, but I've put 4,400 miles from the beginning of the end with my Wildpeaks and a combination of those tires. Everyone tells me it's the tires and to switch. I switch to KO2's Friday morning and I cannot wait.
