It was the least I could do after a large “investment”.

The weather was finally nice enough yesterday and I took out the sprint boat for a short run. I forgot how much fun this boat is. But the water temperature was probably in the upper 30's so it was a little painful getting the boat off and on the trailer since I had to go in knee deep to load/unload it.

Update: I ended up taking out the fishing boat today because it was even nicer out, but like an idiot, I forgot to renew my fishing license so I just ended up floating down the river and having lunch and a couple of beers. Can't beat 75 degrees in March but starting tomorrow we will be back in the 40's for the next week.

I bought it from my buddy that guides full time, he's a pro-staffer and gets a new one every year. His new one has a V6 225hp tiller! 57mph.

Thank you for the offer but then it would become more than just killing time on the road.

Finally got out this past weekend, it was blowy but in the high 50s so not terrible. Got a 5-6’ shark on the first cast and it bit me off about 30’ from the sand. Oh well, fun little fight and I got to test the rack out.

Thought about buying a boat, but then I got to thinkibg about how little time I’ll actually be able to use it. And the boat that I’d like is wayyyy out of my price range.

I fish a little in the winter. It gets cold here but I wear a dry suit in the yak. Putting new line in my reels now. Probably go to the river Friday to see if the White Bass are starting to run but the water was only 50 on Monday. We've been getting some warm days tho so :fingerscrossed:

Around here we kinda lump whites and hybrids together and call them all whites. We don't usually keep any so the limits don't matter. It's rare to catch a true striper in most places we fish.

When I lived in Tx we had largemouth, whites and hybrid striped. The hybrid were the best tasting.
