    not enough.
    Hey gang,

I was working on installing this today but ran into a wall. I emailed the vendor but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas here.

I followed the instructions pretty closely to install the system. After I thought I got everything wired up, I powered everything back up. The rear camera works as expected. The front camera switch actually pulls up the rear camera...

Also, I got a really long wire with RCA ends. I hooked that up to the camera and the other end to the Relay Harness' Yellow with black stripe RCA. I noticed that there are red wires coming out of the really long wire RCA ends. Do I need to hook those up to anything?

    thanks.

Make sure you’re split wires are crimped good. That is where mine failed and tge front cam didnt come up. As for the red wiress on the rca cable, those are power wires as you can hook it up so camera is powered only when switch is on, otherwise you can hook it straight to battery like i did and the cam is always powered

Just a couple of questions for troubleshooting purposes....I am confused by the 'rear camera works as expected' statement.

    1. Does the rear camera display when you have the truck in reverse?

    2. Does the rear camera display when you use the rear rocker switch?

    3. Does the rear camera display when you use the front rocker switch?

I had a wiring harness issue when I installed my camera system too.

Its anytime. You override the stock system. If front is pushed, only front. If rear, only rear. If you have it on front and put it in reverse, the front will still be displayed. In neutral position, it acts like stock

    Not how mine works.

If front camera is selected, then putting it reverse does not display the rear camera.
Looking at the schematic verifies that is how it's supposed to work. The front camera, when selected, will always energize the relay and power the front camera.

Hi guys, just wondering what to tap into to power the front camera to only power on when the switch is activated? Is it the power wire on the switch?

Got my full kit yesterday and might install it today if the weather is good.

    Thanks.

Tap into the same power that powers the relay when switched. Several pages back, I uploaded a schematic diagram that detail exactly what you want to do.

    not enough.
Got it figured out. The wiring colors weren't matching the online instructions. I had switched the two wires from the harness. Then I didn't splice power for the camera correctly so it never got power. It all works now! Excited!!

Best to take off the panel underneath the steering wheel as the cubby is screwed from inside. If you use aob switch, you will need to dremel of a bit of the opening

How does that camera mount? Does it screw from the back or do you use double-sided tape?
