wait, so you installed SPC UCAs, set the caster to whatever... previously installed coilovers and still have not taken it in for an alignment? How is it still tracking? What did you set the caster to on the UCAs?

Correction: Miguel installed the SPC UCA’s. As much as I’d like to take credit, he did most of the lift install.

I’m going to say 0” since the logo and flat side is parallel with the nut and flat side of the control arm going off the SPC specifications.

However something is off because I have some wicked positive camber.

It honestly handles just fine. Took it to Pismo and have been driving on it since August no issue. Really all I’m worried about is uneven tire wear.

I called them today to see how booked their schedule was looking. Allan said they could fit me in Thursday or Friday but that's out for me. He also said next week was pretty open. Going to do the install when I get back from Vegas. I haven't removed the spindle before so still need to figure out if I absolutely need to do that to press out the old bushing. Hoping not but guessing its going to be necessary. Figured I'd either set them to 0 (D) and let custom deal with it or set them as far forward (A) as I can since they already maxed out my caster as far as they could on my last alignment and that should push it all the way from the pinch weld. I know I'm still going to have to drop the hammer on that thing but this might be enough to get me back across the bridge without to much rubbing.

Going to mount the tires Wednesday (they show up tomorrow). I'll book the appointment with Custom and have them put the new tires/wheels on and do the alignment.

Don't wait bud. Get that alignment done. Going to eat away at those tires and I imagine putting some funky stress on other components the longer you wait.

I mentioned letting the alignment shop deal with the adjustments on the SPC’s a while back, and everyone attacked me for it.

I’ll let them deal with it when the time comes. The next few weeks are just going to be crazy for me. I’m shipping out 35 orders before the end of the month, and I’m leaving for Mississippi this Friday.

I think they were razzing you for not knowing your initial setting or how to 'set it'. It is true nearly all of the standard alignment places wont touch the SPCs but we luckily live in an area where custom specialty shops exist. You'll pay more but its worth it.

    Just in case -

oh and another thing, now that you have those SPCs, you could apply that tinkering ability of yours to this and then you could be doing your own alignments

The issue with trusting an alignment shop to mess with UCAs is that 99% of them won't touch them...I haven't found one yet down here that will do it. The best way to do it is to adjust your SPCs in your driveway to your desired caster setting and then have an alignment shop do the rest of the alignment
