How much is your 2019 registration??!!!!!

Totally off base!!

 

I paid $455.90 here on Oahu, HI. Neighbor islands slightly cheaper. Our registration here is based on weight so you can have a brand new truck, or a 20year old beater, if it weighs the same, it costs the same....sucks!

 

around $360. here on maui for my 2016.

 

Registration was only 90(?) here in VA for 2 years. Property taxes is what they really got me on. $700 for the year for that.

 

In VA to renew my registration is $95 per vehicle every two years; the personal property tax for this year on my 16 Tacoma is about $725, my 04 runs about $200.

 

I appreciate your candor. I work with and for veterans everyday. Regardless of your reasons for serving, service members and veterans are willing to do what most would not or could not. And that is pay any price in the defense of our country up to and including their own lives. And for that, I am truly grateful.

 

I'm thankful Oregon doesn't have any sales taxes or personal property tax.

 

I'm glad I'm moving to Yamhill country later this year.

NH guys- come clean you pay by trim to register the vehicle- but you never pay sales tax to buy it. and each year it steps down until its peanuts (still a win win)

Hey and for the folks paying really high registration fees PLUS purchase tax - think of how nice the infrastructure is- (joking here guys)

HINT- if you truly want to live TAX FREE - rent in NH (this avoids property taxes plus with no state tax on anything you buy) yeowsa! off tax grid !! -

 

trust me if you rent you still pay property tax if you rent, you just don't get the income tax write off. as for dropping down to peanuts, I was paying 120 a year for a 2001 Tundra, not exactly peanuts

 

$160.00 in nj. goes by gross weight. civic is prob like 100.00 f 350 like 300.00

 

I'm paying ~$2300 in taxes for my tacoma per year in VA. California doesn't look so bad.

 

So moral of the story in this thread is no matter where you are one way or another we all get screwed on our registration

 

Paid this on my tacoma, plus Gwinnett emissions testing. So glad GA did away with the yearly valorem taxes years ago. Made me hate my birthday.

Not anymore. Or what county are you in? Ada county used to be like that now it’s 85 for a year with truck plates. Still not bad considering what others pay, but has nearly doubled in the last 2 years. $110 for my wife’s grand Cherokee with regular plates.

 

I’m in kootenai. I know you ada dudes have weird things like smog too right?

 

My tundra was $702 last year.
I’m interested to see what it is this year.
