    About halfway done...
Got started. I made my own tray because I have a TDR Sport and wanted a custom size. Sadly I couldn’t find 1/8” aluminum so I used two layers of 18 gauge. Figured all the little bolts holding them together was good enough.
Also I decided to mount the Switch-Pros vertical. Just used some leftover L brackets from the winch solenoid mounting options.

Well, finally got some pics of my own to throw up. Not installed in the truck yet, but next time I get an open day or two I'll get it under the hood and start landing wires.

Almost picked up Meso's mount, but he was out of stock, and I also wasn't completely happy with the idea of it in that location. I may be the only person in the free world who uses that cubby (key cards and spare taser cartridge), and didn't like the steering wheel obstructing the view of the panel. So, decided to do an overhead install.

Was a bit nervous about cutting into the overhead console to semi-recess the control panel, but did not like the look of the full surface mount. So I found a like new overhead console on ebay for $50 so I'd have a backup in case I butchered mine. Everything went great with the console mounting, so now I have a spare console which I can throw in should the day come I want to sell this truck and yank out the switchpro to put in a new vehicle without leaving a butchered up overhead console in the truck. Some tedious work with dremel and small files, but a couple hours and a few beers, and I got it to snug in nicely.

Picked up a passenger side switch from Tacitos to move the locker switch over. A couple sprays with plastidip, and it matches perfectly.

Used some ideas from some of the other nice installs on this thread, took a couple days of tinkering around, and got it done.

Fun little project, really happy with how it went off, and also really happy with the switchpro itself. The amount of configuration you can do with this thing is damn nice. Other than the obvious accessories, once I get it in it will control the front camera and an ABS override relay.

Awesome work dude! Great job on the wiring and cab install. Really clean. Way to jump in there! where’d you source the cover for your positive connections on the tray?

Piece of 3/16" matte finished plexiglass (online) cut to size and drilled / edges sanded. A couple 10-32 stainless screws and threaded aluminum standoffs, stainless knurled nuts.

Probably not doing a great deal for protection from elements, unlikely any of the terminals would be hot if hood was opened for work, and possibly more trouble than it was worth, but got the idea in my head and liked the way it helped to finish the whole thing off. Hey...had some time on my hands.

Can someone educate me on SPDT and SP3T? What are they used for and how do you set it up?

Looks nice. Do you have any installed photos? I have the 9100 so the tabs on your ebay photo must be from the 8100??
This is what my screen looks like currently.

Yes, I have them on the marketplace post. And my eBay listing has one as well. The tabs are for the 8100 series, that's what I have and I used it as a model. The 8200 and 9100 controllers do not use tabs, but they are not in the way when paired up with any controller.

Weird question but any chance you could make a cover for the 9100 to sit flush with the SDHQ mount? I’d buy it. Would be nice to sometimes be able to not have any light coming from it, and also worried that if I ever move back to MA from CO and have a stupid inspection that they’ll start clicking buttons and fail me.

Sure can. How much does the controller protrude out from the mount?

Why do you power your front camera through the fuse box? I am trying to figure out the best way to utilize mine/not damage anything. Are there any cons to this/is it always getting power?

I am doing some wiring now and I have the switch wire for the front cam connected to the switch pro, then the camera power/red wire connected to the fuse box and grounded the ground/black wire from camera to my terminal block. Do you think I should keep it this way or connect the switch wire trigger with the camera power both into the switch pro?

Also sorry for a million questions but what amp fuse are you using for the front cam?

I'd have to check the amp on teh fuse for the camera, but it's probably a 10 or 15.

I couldn't wrap my head around how to use the switchpro when I installed my front camera and backup override, as I wanted one switch to do both, so I went with a dpdt switch instead (installed right below the e-brake handle). But I don't think there's any reason to run anything though both the switch pro and a fuse box (I could be wrong though). I do have the front camera on a tap-a-fuse that only turns on when teh truck is on, so my front camera is always "on" when running. the only disadvantage to this is likely a shorter life span (and I did get one of those in the toyota logo front cameras... and am on my 2nd one. but the first crapped out when it was raining really hard while driving, and not a "always on" shortening the life type of thing).

I think there are a few people here who've done the cameras through the swtichpros. They might be a better resource than my hack job.

I did the same thing, got the switch pros installed with no lights and when I went to add lights it was so easy.

Maybe I missed it, but where is everyone connecting the black ground wire from the switch pro? Running it all the way back to the battery? Skimming over the instalation instructions last night I thought it warned against connecting it anywhere but the negative terminal on the battery.

I ran mine to a terminal on the negative blue sea buss. As that is coming directly off the battery (not chassis ground) I don't believe it will be an issue.

Finally got it mounted, wired up and tested. Now just need to start landing accessories.
