It's good for the trail, don't expect to talk state-to-state... Unless you're on the border. Or live in Rhode island.

Hell disregard my last, you could talk to 4 states at 4 corners national monument...

I've been seeing quite a few of them recently. All under $200....keep your eyes peeled.

Those seat covers went on within the first month of ownership. They're really hot in the summer but the waterproof aspect is what really sold them on me. Definitely worth the investment.

How did you prep the chrome grill?

Because i could not remove the center of the grill I tapped it off and then sanded it. Cleaned it off and the did two lite coats of primer. After that dried I then did a full cover coat of primer. Cleaned what need to be up and the painted it and cleared it. Used a full can to clear

Thanks. Did you just scuff sand it or sand the "chrome" completely off? Thanks again.

I used 120 to scuff it. But i scuffed the crap out it to make sure it was ok. Make sure u wipe it down good. I missed one spot
On the corner and it was a pain. Remember the prep is what makes the final paint job good or bad.

Sweet. That's why I asked about your prep. I don't want to have to go through the process again a year from now...

Ya just take ur time. I did it over like 2-3 days. And remember when doing the clear coat and just painting altogether, there comes a time to walk away. Especially when it comes to sparing with cans. You can do it in one day with no problem but just make its fully dry.

Back in the day there was a period of time when there were two different springs, 885 and 885x (same with 884, 886, etc.). Now they are all the "x" version.
I did not but I did have to cut off the corners to not interfere with my IFS skid.

My RuffTuff seat covers from a place called Covers and Camo (very nice folks out of the great state of TX) arrived today. Kind of stumbled on these while looking at all the options, and so far just out of the box I really like them. It's a canvas like Dura EZ material with a nice half inch of padding on them. I also looked at Headwaters seat covers but they don't do an insert color like this place does. Going to cruise back in to work tonight and use the garage to take the seats out and install these properly. They're not cheap so I only did the front seats for now.
