Zombie Apocalypse Show isn't Real Enough (The Walking Dead on AMC)

Yea none have blown my mind but they aren’t full on B movies like I’d expect them to be

 

Every time I watch one I always end it with the same 'well, I understand why it didn't go to theaters' opinion. Their shows are way better.

 

Damn, what were the short notes at the start of the episode tonight..totally missed them

 

Nah, the ones on the notepad..oops

 

I’m happy that they finally cleared up why the communities are divided.

If last nights episode was 'the explanation' as to the angst between the communities...really REALLY weak!
Michonne shuns the other communities because a completely non-related group took Judith and some others?!?!? The TWD writers have almost lost me!

 

It likely wouldn’t matter this far in the apocolypse, BUT I can see how being forced to murder a whole group of kids would really fuck your head up.

They could have come up with some better material but it’s not that far fetched.

 

I was thinking there was some major discourse which divided the communities, but that explanation?!? Michonne was walking around with two walkers on a leash which she de-limbed and de-toothed, then years after, killing a few kids in an apocolyptic world throws her off kilter...we as viewers deserve better than that.

 

I agree and am not arguing but I can see some justification in calling that good. Doesn’t make sense why she’s hostile to her friends though.. that I will get fully on board with you about

 

Not arguing either. Yes that would mess with your head, slicing and dicing the kids but they had no attachment to the other three communities.

 

We are watching now. I’m bored

I hate this kind of storytelling. What was the point of time jumping if they were just going to “flashback” to fill in the gap. Why not just naturally progress through time and tell the story...

I’m too far out to sea to jump ship on this show but I regret my decision to let myself get this far out everytime I watch

I thought it was the fact that it was an old friend that she gew up with and trusted, that messed her up. Her emotional response to her friend made her let her guard down, and that vulnerability is what set up the kidnappings. That created the distrust. Since it was so close to home with Judith being taken, that put her guard up on everybody. She didn't know when or if any of her close friends in the other communities would eventually turn on her, like Jocelyn did.

With all those crazy kids, why didn't she use the back side of the sword and just knock them out? It's what happens in every anime when the protaganist doesn't want to kill someone in a fight!

 

Take the plunge. I did. It's officially off my record list.

 

Two more episodes for me, and unless something drastically changes, I’m done as well.

 

Ha. Yes, it's just gotten too random for me. It lacks the grit of the early seasons.

 

I feel the same. Considering giving up and starting with the comic books from where we are now.

 

Next week is the fair. Can’t Won’t post any spoilers, but I’m actually excited about this episode

Go back to the beginning and read from the start. You'd be so lost lol. The show and book are similar, but still very different..
