Anybody have any good recommendations on 3rd gen fog lights that will fit in the stock bumper without any cutting or anything? I've heard amber is better than clear but not entirely sure what I should do. Thanks in advance.

I have these and love them! Cheap and an improvement over the stock bulbs. Definitely recommend.

Amber is better but get clear and put Amber film over them. Get some KC Hilites G4 in clear.

Post 558 has a comparison on the amber Morimotos vs the amber G4s. The G4’s have 2x the pattern area coverage.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...fog-light-review.554813/page-28#post-19408787

Clear G4s are definitely higher output, but if looking specifically for amber the amber G4s are the best so far.

This will give a selective yellow output, which will be higher output than amber, but not amber in output.

Baja Designs fog light kit ( amber wide cornering) . Plug and play. Lighting improvement is night an day from stock.

Baja Designs has not yet released their fog lights, they are due out in a few months. As covered in the linked threads the wide cornering pattern is not a fog pattern. It has no cut offs and blinds other drivers. Baja Designs warns users to not use those on the street with oncoming traffic.

Thank you all for the input. what about the best setup for around $100? I am wiring all of this myself so I'm already into it with some money.

Thanks for the clarification. I understand the actual lighting pattern/lighting zone might not strictly constitute a fog light pattern. I interpreted op as looking for lighting options that are intended to replace the factory fogs. I have found mine to be quite effective with increasing visibility in foggy conditions, they are aimed straight forward and only on a handful of occasions has anyone flashed there brights at me, usually its a lowered tuner vehicle that puts thier line of sight on the same axis as the beam pattern. However I typically use them in the same way you would brights, turning off and on as you encounter oncoming traffic. Appreciate the input though man

Just pointing out to others the pattern difference, which is very often overlooked when selecting a fog light. What helps in your case is that amber/yellow light is not as harsh on the eyes as the white/blue that human eyes are highly sensitive to, which makes the white/blue light much more excessively glaring.

Thanks for all the help fellas. I ended up going with the Amber Morimoto's recommended by moe. The others were a little too pricy!

Look up rago fabrication they have a kit with Baja designs led pod lights with an amber filter on them. Took less than an hour to put on and no need to rewire or cut anything
