Wait till you are approaching 50. I am so angry at my body all the time. Like, why the hell does my knee hurt? Oh, that's right, I walked to the mailbox down my 1100 foot driveway yesterday. Maximum effort! My brain feels like I'm 25 but my body doesn't seem to agree.

Use my shoe box mouse trap trick. Get a small cardboard box and cut 2 holes in the side diagonally opposite...Put a mouse trap in the box in the corner of it with 1 sunflower seed superglued to the bait divot...and then a 1/4 of a tic tac of peanut butter on it. I call it a a kill box. I got 8 mice one winter in my shed with it. Once I got all the bird seed into a steel can what do you know the mice went away :) ..Snap..easy clean up and they can't wander off with the trap. It will keep your cats off the trap too. Place it against the wall or in a corner where the mice frequent.

We have traps and my dad usually sets up a drowning pool, 5 gallon bucket with probably 2-3 gallons of water, heavy layer of bird seed, and a trail along the retaining wall leading to the bucket. Works wonders

a little too (Insert despot/serial killer here) for me...snap trap and broken neck...no drowning...bloating....fishing out a bloated dead mouse in a bucket full of warm water, 1/2 sprouted seed, death feces and mouse urine...I like my gentleman's dainty trap box :)

Must be a western MA thing, we’ve been getting the garage/shed mice and garden chipmunks this way for years.

Probably, the traps we have had for years and years. The drowning pool has only been used for a few years. The traps mostly are for mice, and the drowning pool is for chipmunks. We have wood for the wood stove and the garage is right next to it, need to keep them away

I use a bucket with water also in my shed. It has a walking plank at the top like a trap door. The nice thing about the bucket trick is that it’s always set no matter how many mice fall in it. You don’t have to check it every day if you don’t want to. I’ll post a picture of it in a minute when I leave for work.

    Good morning.

For the shed, just start up the mower and close the doors. Give it a half hour and they've all gone into a permanent sleep...

Made out of pvc. Sits on the edge of the bucket with a spot to rest a board up to it. Put your bait at the end. Has a magnet under the counter wait so it won’t brake free to the mouse gets out towards the end of it and drops him in the bucket. Counter wait resets it.

If you don’t like the idea of drowning them just use a taller bucket they can’t jump out of with no water and drop them off at the park

It's getting to be hunting season for me again as well. The little bastards are starting to move around. I just use the standard snap traps and cheese.

I'm hoping that with double the cats we'll be able to keep ahead of the tide this spring. But, I've also got bait traps up in the attic, snap traps under the dishwasher and in the pantry, and a bait bucket in the garage and in the shed (by the chicken grain) in case the cats can't keep up

    Snap trap alert:
