Hello. I’ve been searching how to install some led lights I got from Amazon. I found some posts stated connecting a hot wire from the batter would work. But I have a fuse box in my leer 180. It’s connected to the dome light that I can turn on while the truck is off. It looks like I would be able to connect my led light wires to the fuse box and be able to bypass connecting a hot wire to the battery. I am electronically challenged and am unfamiliar wit the subject completely. Here are the components.

How much current do your new lights draw, how much current does the existing circuit draw (what else is on that circuit), and will that fuse handle both?

It’s 12v input. Has a “fuse max current” 10a. I don’t actually know about the fuse box in the campershell

I have a Century canopy that has the same box.
The dome light fuse as marked on the box is 5A and the stop light is 1A.
As on yours, there is no powered canopy lock installed.
Also included is a 5A fuse at the vehicle battery.
If you’re adding a small LED light, it should be no problem to tap into the present wires if the new LED light is only several watts.

Can I connect my led light wires to the wires at the fusebox? Is there an adapter I can buy and connect my light wires that adapter and plug into the slow that’s meant for the automatic opener?

Yes, the wires coming out of the fuse box of course, not the ones going into it from the battery.
You can either tap into the 5 amp dome light wires, or find the proper plug to fit the auto tailgate lock slot and wire into that if the right size of adapter could be found.
Perhaps a Leer dealer/installer would have some extra adapters.

Ok. I understand. Would it be possible, or a good idea, to use a t tap connection from the dome light to power my led lights? Thank you

Some people don’t like T taps as there is the possibility of the tap damaging or breaking through the wire over time, so they prefer to solder the wire for a secure connection.
If you are unable to solder wires, the T tap in this location will work fine. You can T tap it and then carefully wrap the T tap with a bit of electrical tape to hold it in place more securely.
As it’s not a critical electrical connection, if the new light stops functioning, all you need to check is the new T connection, the new light or the fuse.
You should be good to go with a tap in that location.

Does anyone know where to get the truck side of the plug? I bought my cap but the plug on the bottom side was not there.
