Started ripping out the interior. Floor soaked overnight and I'll hit it with a brush and hot soapy water today. Then shop vac it out and clean up everything, dash, back wall, etc. And get it all ready for install.

Going to run wires and install the stereo. Then carpet. Then reassemble and do the dash cover. Need to pull the door panels off to do the regulators as well. Then reattach them with screws and dress up washers to keep it clean on the inside.

hey man truck is coming along nicely, quick question, i have a c10 i'm working on and want to put 2 10's behind the seat going to replace carpet also, ( i'm fairly new to the audio stuff) my radio isn't going to be quite as awesome as yours but what gauge wires should i run from the radio to the subs and amp? any suggestions? oh my radio is a basic cd player with bluetooth since i don't want to hack up the metal dash and make a bigger one fit

Thanks man! As for the wiring.. you'll need some decent gauge power wire depending on the power. 4, 6, or 8.

@Aw9d will have all the info you need.

Running wires will be easy haha. Getting a double din in there shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I have tons of install parts in the garage we can use.

No clue. Wires/amps/speakers will be easy. Figuring out how to put the double din in might be time consuming. I have a box of install parts that we should be able to figure something out. Or just 3d print one.

oh itll be stupid easy. I gutted it all in like 15 minutes. I just need to track down the front 4" speaker wire and pull those and the wire. been slowly going through the hack job wiring harness for the stereo from the PO.. I'll need your opinion on what to hack out and what to keep. I'd like to cut out as much as possible to clean it up and make it easier.

I'm hoping to start running wire and start installing stuff later this week. I will keep you guys posted. I'll have beers waiting!

I think mounting the powered sub might take a little bit too. just after looking at it.. I will have to work around the contours of the back wall.

Build a platform out of wood or make different length feet to keep it flush? I'll have to come over and see how it's sitting now.

so research says a Double Din will fit no problem with the OEM brackets.. which I dont have. So I'll look around for those and then I should be good. Might just have to cut the trim around it a bit.. and or replace it.
