Well, I got eight our of nine of my orders. I suspect there might be an unhappy UPS guy with an extra box he forgot to deliver...

I did not get my lug nut and valve stem kit though. Such a small box with all those big items...:notsure:

Edit: I think this has solved my packaging dilemma for how to ship the diffs though.

dont forget to check the bursting strength of the box to be sure it’s able to handle the weight. That is a sure way to have any claim easily denied is “improper packaging”.

Geez, Now I'm thinking I should just wheel up to the shippers...FedEx I think ECGS uses for their call tags...with my plastic crate, and have them package the stuff. I was thinking I could just drop the diffs in the wheel boxes and mummify the boxes with gorilla tape.

Yup. Usually around the occupied campsites they stay clear. Go out after sunrise and check the trails you'll find some nice tracks. I did have one check out my site and tent one time dispersed camping out in Picayune during a break down few years back. That was a shocker in the AM, decently large paw prints around my tent.

I hunted down there about 7 years ago came across some prints that you see it was of a panther dragging some animal. I then got the feeling of something watching me creepy as fuck.

I actually walked up on one back in 1988. About 200 yards away. Blinked my eyes and it was gone in a blur. The tracks had a line tracing between each paw print from its long tail. That's how you know it's a Panther and not a Bobcat. The FWC introduced western cats from Texas into the gene pool 20+ years ago to try and save the species. I wonder if these cats could become more agressive because of that as well as dimishing habitat and prey in certain areas.

I know that they are becoming bigger do to crossbreeding so im sure they are also more agressive.

We don't see a lot of pigs here anymore and calves are coming up missing quite regularly. We are see more panthers with bigger heads than were here before on our game camera's.

Not that he's gonna see it, but...Damn you @TacoHell , you've gone and planted this seed in my head now and I keep looking at cargo trailers, and how cheap they are (6x14 single axle with an RV style side door and swing open rear doors: ~$2400) and then watching Youtube videos on DIY cargo trailer to camper conversions. Seriously, it's becoming an obsession.

I'm thinking that a 6x14 would be big enough to wall off the back 2' and use it as a place to keep a roll-away type tool box, floor jack, jack stands, racks for spare parts and hardware, an air compressor...basically a mobile shop. The front 12' would hold a twin sized bed, storage cabinets, a sink, maybe a small shower, a small roof top A/C unit like for a pop-up. Put some windows in for ventilation. One guy even had a clever 12v setup for primitive camping areas with no power hook-up where he took a cooler, ran a hose from the drain to a pump, filled the cooler with ice and water, pumped the water through and A/C condenser with a blower from a van blowing air across it, before draining the water back into the cooler. You can run solar panels on the roof with golf cart batteries to power your 12v stuff, with an inverter to power some critical 110v items if you have any. I was thinking an RV style canopy on the side with a fold down table to put your camp stove and whatnot on.

Basically you could go as elaborate or as crude as you want or can afford and still do it cheaper than buying an actual camper, not to mention, structurally, cargo trailers are far more sturdy and will last a lot longer than a camper trailer.

This crap is eating me up thinking about how simple setting up camp would be. Just park the trailer and plug it in and Bob's your uncle. Heat when it's cold, A/C when it's hot. Sounds awesome. And with a basic dry weight of 1500 lbs you could put 2000lbs of crap in it and still be well within the towing capacity of a Tacoma...especially one geared low to begin with.

Glad these things are going on the T4R. They ride a hell of a lot better but they just don't look right on the OGT...

Oh, and @TacoTRD78 I'll have to give you this one. These tires are freaking heavy and there was a noticeable change in how fast the truck accelerated on the way home. Braking took a bit more effort too, which is actually weird when you think about it, because the truck was basically the same weight going to the tire shop and coming home. :notsure:

The fun thing about rolling mass is you don't have to give as much fuel input when going up Florida slopes. It petty much ignored hills. The bad news is, I still have a pretty violent shake at about 65-75. It clears up around 80, I discovered when I was paying attention to the flow of traffic and not my speedo. I'm thinking it the rear section of the rear drive shaft. The ujoint seemed a little sloppy when I was putting the rear open third in the other day and it had a smallish dent in it from Hardrock... where more of my handling troubles began. I have to go see about getting Mom's final taxes filed tomorrow morning, but I might take the rear section of the drive shaft off and run it on the front axle up to interstate speed. That should tell me if I need a couple of new drive shafts...A skinny, heavy walled shaft for playing on rocks and a normal one for the trip home if it's out of state and normal driving.

Plus I need to find yokes with external snap rings. The inner snap rings are a waste of time IMHO. A monster 1 ton double cardan joint that can be serviced and replaced the joints like Jeeps have wouldn't be a bad idea either. If anything brakes, that DC joint is probably the one that will ruin your day thr worst as far as drivelines go.

O do have to say that pulling out of the driveway and heading down my street yesterday with a nice smooth ride that didn't make me feel like I had square tires and a novel experience.

Anybody firmliar with the Chevy 5.3 2015 suburban? Getting a misfire on cold days. I can clear the code and restart the truck and it runs fine. I have changed plugs, wires and switched coils around and still get cylinder 7 misfire. Next on the list is the injector but I am hoping someone in here may have another idea.

    Thanks in advance.

Injector. Before replacing it, run a can of sea foam through a 1/4 tank of gas. I had injector problems on every GM v8 I’ve ever owned.

On the first start after adding the sea foam, rev the engine to 3 or 4K and hold it there for a bit.
