I think that wheel looks really good in darker gray or gunmetal gray or whatever they call it, and you retain OEM quality and trueness with a Yota wheel. The tolerances in most aftermarket wheels as compared to oem will make you cry

You really wanting to convert to 4x4? Lot of work but if you're in love with YOUR truck, I get it

Eventually, perhaps. If not, I'm happy with my locker and what I've done to it so far.
    Original owner, can't complain.

Next one will definitely be 4WD and this one will still stay in the family.

I'll get flamed but I think I'd prefer a lockable rear than I would 4x4.... Well maybe not. But locked rear on desert racers is coooool

I've only really been shocked by how bad some aftermarket steelies can be. But alloys haven't been too bad. But I usually buy Japanese goodness too like Rays

We had a dude at my school that was a more recent immigrant from Kenya and was nearly impossible to understand. His class needed subtitles. I dropped it

hahaha I look at it this way, I'm glad I chose the TRD package when I bought the truck. I could've ended up with base prerunner ;)

nawww no worries. 979 shipped and I used that 100 off coupon when I ordered.

I guess I could've bought them from America's tire locally but would've been about 150 bucks more I think it came out to be when I checked.

Yep, drove it off the lot in June 2002. 2nd Tacoma purchase. First was in 1998. I remember sales guy had asked me if I needed 4WD. I had never owned a 4WD before so didn't think I would ever need it. He then went on with "heavier, more parts to break/service" blah blah blah. So I skipped it. Went with the PreRunner and TRD option. Of course, fast forward to 2014 when I found TW. Yeah, should've went with 4WD. I still have that plastic credit card key they were issuing at the time for emergency lock outs.

Classic sales technique, he knew you were a buyer for the 2wd one and sold you harder on it so he didn't have to sell you on the 4wd and the extra cost. Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, even if that is a cowards tactic and better salesman might have tried to get you in the 4x4 version
