I missed buying a 17 white Pro yesterday. I was traveling back from DC and went to a well know bank to use the ATM. Low and behold I saw a vacant lot with some cars and trucks parked all with for sale signs in the windows. I saw a 2017 white Pro with @18000 miles, it looked really clean for sale. I called the owner and he said he was on the way to the truck I could talk to him there. Long story short, his wife was expecting a baby and he was losing his job. He was asking payoff which was almost $29k. I was ready to make an offer, he excused himself because of his cell phone ringing. He informed me that he was keeping his job after all and didn't need to sell it now. Anyhow I'm happy for him but it was a hell of a deal. He truely loved his truck and was a great guy. Maybe he is on TW and will see this post if so congrats on keeping your job and the upcoming birth of your baby. Glad it worked out.

Hopefully everything works out for that guy, it's tough being cornered like that. But any man would sacrifice his toys for his family. Sorry it didn't work out for you either, but I hope another offer finds it's way to you.

I'm not actively looking as I have a great 2018 dclb. I was really looking at the grill and headlights to see them up close. It just caught my eye and wanted to also see how much he was asking. The owner thought it was funny because I was in my Tacoma. However I would have bought it just because of the price. It was a hell of a deal!

I am truely happy for him and it worked out like it did. I would have had a hard time explaining another truck. My wouldn't have really cared because she knows I buy and sell vehicles all the time, but I do have some vehicles that are keepers.

Good news they are probably building more right now.

Bad news you probably won't find a deal that great again.

I wish I was in a financial position to spring 30k like that just because it was a good deal.

It would have only been a few weeks because I would have sold it to make about $5k. I have done it a few times.

Mods please delete this thread. I was contacted by the person who was selling the truck by phone. He liked the story, he is not a member but does look at TW fro time to time and saw the post . He asked me if I can remove it. Thank you.
