Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

My bad, should have explained. I’m trying to use techstream as outlined in the post I quoted in order to flask the TSB before OVTune.

I need the drivers for that, unless I’m mistaken (which would be nice)

 

Ahh, missed that. I thought you already had the kit with the Tactrix cable. What cable do you have? I honestly don't remember what the hell I did to get it to work a few years ago. I think I still have the files somewhere, let me take a look.

 

Assuming you have the tactrix adapter, you skip all the mvci stuff - that’s for a different adapter.

There hasn’t been a lot, but all the ones I have seen that exploded were sports with the 8” rear end. There was at least one guy that destroyed multiple sets of nitro 4.88s

 

I’ve tried multiple times to download both versions of FM but can’t get past this. Any ideas?

 

What do I tell the dealer so they'll do the TSB? And do I have to flash back to stock or will they just overwrite?

 

Install BOTH the x64 and the x86 visual studio runtime.

I had the same issue when installing on x64 computer this past weekend

 

Give it 200 miles or so and it should settle nicely, but the tip in should stay about the same

I'm guessing those you've seen had oversize wheels/tires, armored, etc. Can't imagine a stock or near stock sport exploding their rear ends.
