True story. When I was a novice racer (2005) my buddy and I took his old Grand Cherokee, a toy hauler and a GSXR600 and F3 down to Jennings for a January track day.

We broke down upon entering the state and had to be towed with the trailer. We then found a roach motel in a bad part of town and had to wheel the bikes inside with us so they wouldn’t be stolen.

We made it to the track somehow the next day and I was on Pirelli slicks. It started raining cats and dogs. I went out anyway and managed to keep it up right the entire day.

I’ll never forget Jennings double apex turn ....

The next month I went to (little) Talledega in Leeds, AL and did the first race of the season in 27 degree weather. Best to race when you don’t realize your own mortality :D

I haven’t. But lots of friends down there. I’d imagine we have some common friends. I was a trackday fiend for several years but the last two have not had a lot of time to devote. Made it out to summit point for a few days last year. Hoping to get a few more days in this season. I did 60 days on track in 2010. Lol
This right here made me smile. **will do ANYTHING for some track** hahaha

I've owned an Audi A6, F-150, MX-5, 4Runner, and now a 3rd gen Sport. Ever since the 4Runner I've loved Toyotas. When my wife is due a new car in a few years for our growing family I plan to buy a limited 4R, Land Cruiser, or a Lexus GX.
