    I don't understand how this applies to a coilover setup. I intend on upgrading my springs eventually to the larger and higher rate 14" 700lb king springs (iirc my current springs are 13" 600lb), but since it is on a coilover with a threaded collar the spring will simply be taller on the coilover with the same amount of preload.

    It provides natural height on the coilover body prior to pre loading it.

    No, it doesn't. You just move the collar up another inch, then preload it.

    If you don’t believe me, prove me wrong. This is how I understand it to work on a coilover assembly.

    Should I be specifying adjustable coilover? Maybe I’m miscommunicating.
