I installed these kits last 2 weekends ago and flipped the bushings so that the bigger bushings were on the top and added a 1" BL no issues with the hood for me. They may not be sitting correctly in their respective mounts.

We installed all the bushings and BL pucks snugged up the bolts so the bushings wouldn't drop free but had to go around to each bushing and make sure that they were sitting in the mount correctly some we needed to push the cab around a little to get them to drop in correctly. Then went around the truck and did the final tightening.

My hood is definitely tighter with the flipped bushings than it was before doing this. I have to wedge my fingers in over the headlight to pop the hood where I can get to the latch. It's not a problem, it's just different than it used to be.

Adjust hood clearance by turning the rubber stoppers on each side. They spin by hand.

Also, the zinc coating on these is a joke. Everything is so rusty already

I don't think they're zinc, it appears they're only Alodine dipped - I've had mine on for the last 1.5 years, no rust but then again - live in CA and spray... more like flood it with silicon monthly

I just got a set of these and the radiator bushing as well this last from from the eBay sale. I'm hoping to do these and a CMC at the same time. Any one have issues sourcing new long mounting bolts in the case that they break off during removal?

Buy new ones from Toyota, they were rather cheap and you do not want to re-use the same bolts. I bought mine from Camelback Toyota parts online month ahead of time to make sure I had all the parts I needed when doing this.

I did the universal kit and it worked fine.

Then switched to the full body kit and its been a pain in the ass to open my hood ever since

I wouldn’t mind it, if they would just stop spraying that salt brine mixture and spreading salt like its free, wasting my tax money to rot away what I worked hard to pay for.

Huh??? Has me stumped I don't know what to tell ya to help. Mine did just fine.

NC sprays that shit when there is a threat of snow. Luckily most of the time it just rains so at somepoint the brine gets washed away and the rain helps some with rinsing off that nasty stuff. But I still rinse it off well.
