Could just be an air pocket in the radiator. If the truck run fine, then it's not the headgasket

It could be. I’ve read mixed reviews. The coolant tank was bubbling which means it’s blowing air into it.

The heater was also blowing cold which is a thermostat thing too more than likely.

I hope it’s a simple fix and they fix it right

However if they do me wrong , I’ll lawyer up and fight back

Thermostat not opening. Odd since it being such a new truck with 150k. Still could be a huge air pocket.

 DPF?? I didn't think any full-size pickumups had DPF.

I thought they were still using DEF, didn't realize they were moving to DPF. Thought DPF was still just used for the smaller car/suv diesel market.

No lol. So dpf is the filter and DEF is diesel exhaust fluid. It’s the catalyst used during a regen to burn off the carbons in the dpf and clean it.

I believe all new diesel trucks have dpf, egr and a def tank.
