Word. I did get new poly bushings to go along with my stock shackles. I’m excited to get these on.

Update: Archive is on vacation, returning March 25th. I'll be answering TW messages and emails when I can. Rather not answer phone calls. Listed lead times are still accurate

Heads up on Deaver Springs, price increase coming April 1 due to steel costs.
I don't think there has been a Deaver price increase in a few years so it is reasonable IMO.

Ah yes, increased tarrif costs passed on to customers, because neighbouring countries are a National Security threat.

I like paying whatever American steel costs, and I like supporting the American steel industry which has been undercut for decades

Some of the challenges have been directing profits to shareholders versus modernizing the US plants to meet the customer needs, in terms of quality and quantity. Short term vs long term thinking. Tariffs unfortunately do not fix that.

Nevertheless look forward to purchasing a set of your hangers after I get a few other priorities on the truck sorted out.

I’ll finally get to install these this weekend!
    Doing brake lines tonight!

Any tips to pick up before this weekend that aren’t in the instructions?

Find some patience. Apparently the stock rivets are a huge PITA.

I wonder if you could just grind them down with a dremel, then use a drill to drill through them?

Use a cut-off wheel to remove the head. Much faster than grinding the head.

And, an angle grinder will be faster than a Dremel.

I’ll have a grinder, and a friend who has done them before, but I’ll have to work on the patience.

If only mag drills weren’t so damn expensive!

Has anyone tried feeding a drill using a bottle jack instead of just pushing it? How did that work out?

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
cut the head off with an angle grinder. then use several drill bits (sharp/new) starting smaller and working up to the diameter of the rivet shank to drill out the rest.

this is how @Shmellmopwho does it and he's done way too many. he did my hangers and I can attest the hardest part is simply holding the tools up over and over. good luck your arms and shoulders are in for a work out. I wanna say there's 8-12 of those bastards to contend with.

I never thought of using a mag drill, I bet you could rent one for a somewhat reasonable amount from an equipment rental place which would be worth it given how much of a PITA the alternative sounds like.

Why not cut the head off, then press the shank out. Seems easier than drilling the entire thing out.

A u-joint or ball joint press should work fine.

I just did mine this past weekend. The way I ended up doing it was drilling the rivets in 2 steps ( 5/32” and 5/16” )and then using a chisel bit on an air hammer to knock the heads off. Once the heads were off then I drilled the shank of the rivet in 2 (5/32 and 5/16 )steps then knocked it out with a punch on my air hammer. The rivets came out easy for me. The only thing that was a little bit of a pain was that on the vertical facing rivets I had to back them up in order to get them out since there is that additional brace there. The only reason I didn’t try and drill everything all at once was because I was afraid that if I could be off center then I could possibly get into the frame. After I got the heads off the rivets I found that I was off center on a couple. The full install took me about 5 hours but that was with the additional u bolt flip kit and bump stops that I installed. So maybe 4hours.
