Is Cavalry Blue a polarizing color?

What I mean is, let's say you were in the market for a 1 or 2 year old Tacoma a couple years into the future. Most people have a couple colors they just don't want. Is Cavalry Blue on that list for you?

I just want to get an idea of how polarizing this color is...do 5% of potential buyers put it on their "not interested" list, or is it 15%, 25% 50% ?

 

I actually don't mind cavalry blue. Quicksand, cement, voodoo, and magnetic gray turn me off. I won't buy black but that's not because I don't like it though.

 

I would say years down the road majority of buyers will scratch that color off their list of acceptable choices. I’m sure there will be the select few Tacoma enthusiasts that will like still like it and possibly search specifically for that color.

 

I personally find the color hideous. It looks like something that would be on a 70's Chevy.

 

I wouldn't say it's polarizing. Voodoo blue definitely is, but not cavalry IMO.

I've seen the complete opposite. Opinions on cavalry is super divided. I've never seen anything negative said about voodoo blue.

 

I think the Tacoma crowd is more accepting of the colour than the public in general. I’ve pointed it out a couple times to passengers in my truck to see what they thought and they hated it.

The good thing is it wasn’t very popular, so unlike my silver taco, that seems to have thousand of twins where I live, the Cavalry tacos will be a bit more unique.

Ok you got me there, maybe I think. I'm severely color blind. Cav and Voo look different to me. The Cav looks fine to ME, the Voo looks smurfish to ME. Then again I can't tell you if the grass in the yard is green or brown, so what the hell do I know.

 

I get more compliments on my truck than any vehicle I’ve ever owned and that includes Corvettes,Porsche’s, Vipers, etc. Most people seem to love the color. Just my experience. I’ll never do a black truck again. That color sucks.

Honestly, I think folks just love the trucks. I've had two Corvettes, and I've had way more compliments on my truck, also.

 

Hence the reason why it damn near the most popular truck.....EVER.

 

I very much prefer Cavalry Blue over the obnoxious Voodoo. I saw a Voodoo Blue Pro with a snorkel at a local dealer the other day, it was awful .

 

The only blue I like on these trucks is Blazing Blue, its gorgeous. Everything else they've been experimenting with has just been a let down.

 

Yeah the voodoo is a surprisingly LOUD color. I really like it, though.

 

Yup, cartoonish looking. If it's your cup of tea, great. Otherwise......ugh.

 

Apparently it's just me, but calling anything blue "Cavalry" causes me to wince. Red, White, and Yellow are U.S. Cavalry colors, and please don't flame me, I spent 20 years in the Cavalry, John Wayne is an actor. Maybe it would be more popular if it was called "Infantry" blue, as powder or light blue is actually a recognized color of the U.S. Army Infantry. Again, not trying to hijack the thread, just an observation.
