You can also add a wider washer underneath to prevent the actual "riser" to scratch the floor, plus it will add some mm as well.

I am curious so I will try to get the certs and wedge tensiles for the bolts. That is my day job. Still better than 8.8's inside a 1/8 wall round spacer. That scares me.

New poster here...I appreciate the discussion and this forum.

I noticed that the seat bolts do not have a consistent threaded diameter, but have a step-down to a smaller threaded diameter. Does this simply help locate the bolt within the threaded hole or is the hole also tapped with two different diameters?

There has been some concerns about stripping the hole threads. I am concerned about running a longer bolt through the hole if the hole may be stepped-down in diameter.

That is just to help at the factory and nothing to worry about at home as long as you start the bolts by hand.

If you get spacers and longer bolts, you will not be engaging any more threads than previously. You are adjusting the length for the thickness of the spacers. For example, if you install 1.0in spacers, you get 25mm longer bolts. Therefore, the factory bolts were M10x1.25 25mm long. You want M10x1.25 50mm long Grade 10.9.

    Use a torque wrench: 37N-m

Mod works great for me at 3/4" ht. I'm 5'-8", 32" inseam. Those fine thread bolt's are a bitch though. Be careful threading them or you'll be re-tapping the receivers.
