I don't mind it, but it's one of those weird colors that seems to look much nicer in person than in pictures. If buying a used one a couple of years old, I wouldn't not buy it... but I also wouldn't pay a premium to get that unique color.

Personally, when buying a used vehicle, things like color are way down the priority list. Still on the list, but near the bottom.

The voodoo blue name doesn't make sense either. What about blue conjures up thoughts of voodooism? To me that would be like a a dark purple or neon green or something.

Odd colors seem popular right now, but how will they look 5-10 years from now? Remember teal in the nineties? I owned a 1995 Chevy truck in teal and when I see those on the road now I cringe a little. Btw I like the Cavalry Blue.

Yeah it seems like solid (non metallic) is in right now. I too wonder if they'll look dated a few years from now.

Like right now it seems like pretty much everything comes in a cement solid grey color. In 5-10 years is that going to immediately date the vehicle?

I really like the Calvary blue, I was torn between it and cement. The dealer didn't have a Calvary blue with the trim package I wanted so I went with cement.

I think a poll might have have been a better way about figuring this out. From reading between the lines... this reads a bit like you're trying to decide if you'll be handicapped trying to sell a cavalry tacoma in a few years?

    Fixed it, thanks!

My assumption is someone at Toyota saw the Army's explanation for why Dress Blues and ASUs have light blue pants. It's one of the only associations of light blue with the cavalry.

I think you guys are brutally over thinking the choice of names for colors. at least we don't have ridiculous names like "sassy grass green"
    or "plum crazy violet"

Yep, a poll might have been better. But polls often end up having more discussion about how the poll question should have been worded differently.

on the 2nd part of your comment, "this reads a bit like you're trying to decide if you'll be handicapped trying to sell a cavalry tacoma in a few years?"

Yes, that's a big part of it, but given the way Tacomas include a lot of options I don't want, having one additional color at the purchase phase possibly opens up more potential vehcile candidates for purchase.

PS, some of the older folks might remember a Ford color from the 70's called Grabber Blue. Cavalry Blue, at least in some light, reminds me of that color.

Haha this would be the reason I got my truck in Cavalry Blue, it reminds me of my grandpa's old farm truck, which was a 70's Chevy fullsize truck, it was a great truck, what I learned to drive on with three on the tree.
Miss that truck almost as much as I miss him.

Youre always going to reach a broader audience when trying to resell down the road by not going with an unusual color. Stick with the basic colors of black, white, red, silver.
