Are you sure that bar wasn't meant for the rear window? I don't know of any that had a bar between the cab and box.

Yeah I have the bar in the back. I noticed a opening sleeve in the front too. I put a metal tube in there and it keeps the front window tighter. I noticed that there isn't a spare part on the Softopper web site but my homemade part works well.

Seriously, I like how the softopper sits a little lower, and is much easier to fold up (don't have to remove the side and rear panels). Also have the screen rear window, so hopefully sleeping in the bed when camping will be much less humid in the morning.

Anybody know of someone who makes a rack that fits over the softopper for a 2016+

Jerry at BAMFdoes not make them.
Tracy at All Pro does not make them.
Datin Fabrication does not makes them.
KB Voodoo does not make them.
SOS Concepts seem to make them, but communication with Eddy has been tough.

And no, not interested in a random local fabricator. I'm looking for someone who sells a tested design online, just like the photo below.

    Thanks

That's too bad. I think all you going to find is some random fabricator.

    I don't mind being a random fabricator.

Soft topper can only be purchased from Soft Topper in Colorado.

Best Top is sold at different venders.

That's what I thought and after watching several videos on both it looks like softopper is the best choice..if I order 1 the duty into Canada might be crazy

I've had both. I much prefer the softopper. Easier to fold up or remove is the part that really sold me. Good deal on a used long bed bestop if you're interested. I'm not a really good salesman, am I?

Anyone ever have issues with theft?
I plan on throwing me and the wife’s luggage in the back during long road trips.

I know security isn’t a softoppers biggest priority, but I still want one lol. I wonder if there’s a way to make it a tad more secure? I feel like the back window is the easiest to open and pull things out of.

Its only as secure as the tool used to open it. A simple rock can get a thief into the truck. A knife or even one hand can get the ST open.

I would suggest a heavy duty lockable box used in conjunction with the ST to slow down any prying eyes.
