It's a cool color if you like blue, but couldn't decide if you wanted a blue truck or a gray. Is CB polarizing? IDK. I look at CB as a sign of times, as the color blue is fading from the American landscape. ;)

I did a little research, and the google machine showed that a few paint companies have a "Cavalry Blue" of some sort or another. I was just trying to quell some of the misinformation, and frankly, had never heard of it till here, and still don't get the connection, except when I was ripped in this post (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cavalry-blue-thread-post-them-up.528969/page-18#post-20026384 ) by a John Wayne fanboy, who clearly didn't understand my association. I'm cool, just one of those things.

I like the cavalry blue very much. It’s the voodoo blue that I wouldn’t go near with a ten foot pole...

Yep, I saw that. Some people just don't know that they don't know. It blows my mind how many people/owners misspell or don't even realize there's a huge difference between cavalry and calvary.

If I were buying new today it would be a color I'd consider. Would have to see it up close

I bought one. I like it. More importantly, my wife likes it. It certainly seems like a love/hate color.

Blue is actually my favorite color. I Seriously considered a Blazing BLue Pearl for my Off Road, but went with the Barcelona Red because under direct sunlight, when cleaned and polished.... that metallic flake red does evil things to me . I do have to say, the new Voodoo Blue has me lusting heavily.

The only color I honestly would not be very keen on is white. Not that I dislike white, the "Stormtrooper" look on some of the trucks here is bad ass. But practically *every* vehicle on the road is white.... I don't follow the herd very well. I gotta stand out :D

I think the name of the color is referring to the color of the uniform that the cavalry wore, not that the truck's color represents the cavalry. I've always thought that, and never thought any more about it. While it's a handsome color, I think it's more of one of those "Trendy" limited colors that is acceptable in our time.

Look at the background color in our Army Ingignia in the lower corner of my signature box.

Get a cement one too and then you can do "what if the civil war was fought with tacomas" reenactments.

The US Cavalry color scheme involved "Cavalry Blue" for the better part of the 19th century, mostly prominently seen in the US Civil War.

I'm a fan of colors so I'd take Calalry. More so I really love Voodo but it seems that for some thats a straight up no. I might be in the minority though. I'm not really a fan of cement or quicksand in person. Either way I don't think you would have a problem with resale

Quicksand would be better off with a satin or matte finish, but for manufacturers, those paints are hard to make at low costs.

Same dilemma as in 1861...do I want to wear the Grey uniform or the Blue uniform?

That's true actually and thanks for the info. I didn't even think about the cost. I assumed they just picked the finish off the perceived popularity but that never even made sense lol.

Cavalry blue? Not feelin' it. But that's why they make vanilla and chocolate... and Cavalry blue.
