Does anyone have a hidden bumper light bar installed on their Truck with the Southern Style OffRoad slimline bumper... Been some folks on Facebook pages that said the brackets to mount the light won't work with the bumper... Curious before I order one... I've attached a pic of my quicksand and a pic of one that is done... Can't find info on it

Which brackets are you using to mount the light bar? Did the bumper interfere with the brackets

And what winch. Solenoid size and location matters.

    That's true....

I'm running the smittybilt x2o 10k with the controller on the side

I'm using the rango fab bracket, 32 inch light bar and a warn vr8 with the solenoid mounted on the side. If I didn't use the light bar, I wouldn't have had to move the solenoid box.
Other than that everything went together perfect.

I had the hidden lower bar and had to remove it to fit my X20 with the SSO. I’m waiting to move the bar behind the TSS sensor. I’d be willing to put it back if the solenoid could get moved.

You got pics of the that set up from behind the grille... Curious about the clearance. . Just wonder how it fits. Is the light bar flush with the black plastic or does it stick more out even with the grille

You are correct. Even if I relocated the solenoid, the X20 clutch was in the way.

Cali raised told me the lower brackets would work. They didn’t and now I’m giving those to a buddy without an SSO.

They also told me the upper grill brackets would work. Again, they didn’t so we fabricated a relocation bracket to move it above the sensor.

How is the light output when the bars are behind the grille?

Greatly diminished but it is better than me giving the light bar away after being misled. The center spot section is noticeably bright now that it is back on. Some of the flood at the side escapes since we moved the bar back slightly. We are creating yet another bracket to direct light around the center section for the flood beam that is wasted. :annoyed:

Seems like they should take it back especially if it didn't work after the said it would. That's what's nice about buying stuff on a credit card if the dispute dept stands behind you.

Good point. I bought it during Black Friday. I imagine that the lead time on the bumper and waiting on okay weather wouldn’t make a good argument.

What was the issue with the upper grill brackets not working? I was thinking that's my next route..

It seems as though on the hidden bumper the light bar it self won't clear the clutch on the smittybilt winch unless you pushed the light out, almost even with the bottom of the grill ..

My pro grill has a TSS sensor there. Your grill sensor looks like it is mounted high enough so you probably won't have my problem. Folks with a faux pro grill and fake garnish will also be able to fit.

I have an SOS Fab low profile front bumper, Rago hidden light bar mount with a 30” KC highlights bar and an X20 10k winch. I opted to get some longer 4ga wired and move the winch control box.

@EastTxSand. The clutch is less than 2 inches from the grill. Perhaps a thin light bar would work there? I had the whole kit from them already so I was SOL. Also, there’s kits that have you cut the grill out and push the bar slightly through. That might work.
