    Hey all,

I just got BS 5100 all around and a 1inch blocks for the rear, pretty simple install, just waiting now to get an alignment. Anyway, after looking at my truck I noticed its sitting a little uneven, thought it was just my driveway so i took it somewhere else, same thing. Not sure if anyone has ever had this happen before, did i do something wrong? The driver side is almost and inch lower, and it looks like the dust cover for the strut is crunched more than the other. Any help would be awesome.

    Thanks guys

Also known as the Tacoma lean, common . Driver weight and gas tank all on one side. Many kits come with a 1/4” spacer to even out the passenger to driver side (front coil over ). If it’s 1” lower on driver side I would install a spacer. 1/2” spacer is about 1” actually lift. My truck required the 1/2” spacer to even it out.

wow thats crazy. So it has nothing to do with the rear shocks? the front of the truck seems to be level, maybe a 1/4-1/2inch difference but nothing like the rear.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
That's a bit excessive for taco lean.

I wondered about the Taco Lean.

Filled my truck up and drove in my garage and got out the tape measure. The rear of the truck was the same side to side. Only about an 1/8" difference on the front end.

I obviously wasn't sitting in the truck when I did the measurements thou. Not sure 170 pounds would make too much difference.

You think a full tank will really bring it down that much?

I hate to burst your bubble but the blocks are not what is causing your poor ride quality. It is either A. You choice of tire and pressure or B. The shocks you are running being valved incorrectly. Correct one of those two things and you'll have a much better ride.

Is the height difference that much in the front too?

Full tank is only 130 lbs. If it wasnt drooping that much before it sure shouldnt be more with better shocks. I wouldnt think

    FYI

you can get FALSE taco lean if you apply the parking brake and then step out of the truck. The brakes bind up all weird.

I suggest not applying the parking brake (engine off and in park of course) and measure again.

I really thought i had lean but here i am 6 months later and its still the same....perfectly even.

The only way you would have lean is if you did not use the factory coils. that changes things

My 2018 has less than an 1/8" of lean, slap full of gas on a dead nuts level garage floor.

That amount of difference seems like something is not right, especially if you can visually see the difference.
Do the BS 5100 on the front have adjustments for lift height? If so, would look at the front also and make sure they are set the same.
Update post if you find out.

Oh, just read OP again. Your alignment might solve the issue. Most Likely I think.
I installed OME on wife`s truck and it was all out of whack before alignment.

So your talking the rear is different right?
A lot of the blocks are actually wedges to help with angles.
Maybe ones going the wrong way?
