    Hey Cole,

I am heading a different direction and may go to a Decked system, I do not think it is a good idea to Run a HC rear, topper and decked system as that woulds all add up to 900+ LBS.
Also I use to keep my RTT up top and now that I have a trailer that is no longer needed. SO the Topper is no all that needed for me any longer.
BTW Paul suggested I tag ya because he said you can be helpful in selling the top.

    Thanks a Ton man!

Any reason why you want to keep the factory hitch other than the rated towing weight?

I pulled the trigger on an ATH high clearance rear bumper with swing out and it should be here soon! The only difference is that I'll have a hidden hitch under the license plate.

I have a Trail Gear Rock Assault rear bumper I'm looking to sell. I bought it awhile back and never installed and have since decided to go another direction.

    Wow good, or wow bad?

I was getting raked over the coals for this:
    IMG_20181116_154138.jpg

Both configs worked great on some nasty offroad (for a stock Taco). The bed mount has been better though and has not moved in the least. I did some really good yanks on it considering it is a 50lb cylinder when full.

What you don't see are the three rated D rings on the bed bolts.

I do need it to on its side for the tonneau cover and possibly a future sleeping platform.

Not looking to sell mine. In fact enough snow has melted that I thought about getting the bikes out and starting them. No FS roads open yet but maybe soon

The rated tow rating is exactly why I want to keep it. I tow a trailer regularly and would prefer to have a documented rating for liability reasons.

    Whew!

Three SS bolts and lock nuts using large washers between each QuickFist and the 2x8. The ratchet strap is carefully wrapped around the board capturing all three D rings.

We had quite a discussion about it:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/strapping-tie-down-question-complete.577901/page-4#post-19174909

I even strap in my sandbags. I don't like it when stuff moves around.

The doorbell sound is a nice touch.

I wonder how much better fuel economy would be with a bit of extra "push"........:woot:

I,ve always wanted to do that, strap some fins to it and launch it like a high school rocket project.
