On the topic of lights..

Virginia code states (dumbed down version and not saying any of you are. Haha) that there can only be 6 working lights on the front of a vehicle. Ie: 2 headlights, 2turn signals, 2 fogs. OR... old school lights, meaning 2 low beam, 2 seperate high beam lights and or fogs/drivings lights..

Fog/driving lights are to be wired to the low beam circuit, so as they cut off when the high beam is activated.

No other lights are supposed to be above the headlights..

Any lights mounted on the vehicle that are uncovered will be checked to see if they work.

This is where is gets stupid...

remember, only the original 6 lights have to work. Anything else uncovered has to as well, unless they are covered. The tricky thing is.... extra lights and where they are mounted and to what circuit they are wired too. This is where they get you.

Also, this is where lighting changes over to auxiliary lighting. And a whole new headache starts.

Long of the short. If it’s it not factory... cover it.

Even then, the cover has to be Manufacture specfic cover, even though it’s aftermarket.

To make matters worse, this also applies to the rear back up lights. They have to be tied into that circuit.

Holy shit! Got a headache yet? I damn sure do. Haha

Then you have work lights and so on.

These laws are written for lawers, not us.

To make matters worse each shop interprets all this crap differently.

Leg is getting better. Picked up some tegaderm with pads to keep it covered and waterproof. I've got most of my range of motion back and it only hurts if I try to walk to fast (or stand all day like my job requires)

Definitely kayaking this weekend hoping it won't be too cold for camping but the forecast keeps getting worse. May be stuck doing day trips.
