TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Me personally no... if I want a track performance vehicle I'll get a track oriented car. I have to be realistic and remind myself that this is a truck and it will always handle as such.

 

Well this is my dilemma. So I own both of these items. They’re LCA pivots, one is solid and the other is 90a poly. Been trying to sell the solid for 2 years and no takers, even for $200 less than new. I could put that on and sell the bushing for other stuff. Bushing would be way more comfortable for those surprise potholes though.

 

Yeah, unfortunately Race Truck is a bit more niche crowd than street running a WRX. It is often hard to recover a sunk cost in these items. I personally establish a redline with items like this and if not met then I just enjoy them. Or discount to a special crew or individual that I know would be thankful and appreciate them for what they are.

Where do we go from here? I’m thinking big brakes should be next. If I did it again I’d go Total Chaos and Fox shocks, but do I want to change? Meh. Now I know there is a 9” and a Dana 60 option. That could be interesting, but I don’t need that now. So I come back to more hp. At some point the engine comes out.

 

Exactly. After the stroker motor gives rods to the pavement we go ls motors. Good call.

 

I'll go bilstein shocks and stock brakes first round. When round two happens big brakes, kings, and stroker motor. Or ls..... undecided.

 

My build is pretty niche too. The part itself is cross compatible between pretty much all Lexus sedans though. Just been saving it at this point if I ever meet someone in the game that’s not a dick.

I wanted a IS-F while they were still relatively cheap but I got a look at the rear leg space and passed. I like my passengers to be comfortable too. Hell, I even have rear heated seats.

Header install starts soon. Car should be up and running in a few weeks.

 

Heated rear seats in cali? I appreciate your level of overkill sir.

 

If your headers involve any cat delete please be aware of the exhaust flavor. Any rear windows open will know. I'm borderline allergic to it. Ironic with my system.

Below 70f is cold. Don’t care what you northerners say.

I got the vibrant high flows in. Not stock but they tame the gas smell a bit. I can’t do catless anymore. On my 4Runner I was catless and dumped for a bit. Lord that was ridiculous. Switched from the long tubes to JBA shorties and stock cats.

 

My new subi has heated seats and I have been loving the shit out of them on these cold nights. My poor tacoma is gonna be sitting in the drive way a lot more often now.

yes i would but its also nice being a little more comfortable. 90 is still pretty firm though that it might not be a huge difference.

 

Ask me for tips I heated my seats. Next to the s/c a favorite mod.

 

Haha yeah so does my Hyundai. They’re awesome. Added some to the fiancés 4Runner for xmas and I’ll be damned if I don’t add them to the taco while the interior is stripped out coming up here shortly.
