I own a 1st gen tacoma and iv always be working on mods for the inside to make it more comfortable for me and the passengers. Iv looked all over to find new mods for first gen tacomas and had some luck but not much so I though id make a thread on comfort mods. Ill post all the stuff that I did for my 2001 tacoma and if you have any thing to share please do. If you can post step by step pix and how to's or even cost of things you have done to improve comfort of your truck that i can try on my truck that would be grate.(08 .........Im kinda new to TW so sry if iv post this wrong or in the wrong place still learning how to use this forum....

Great idea for a thread! I'm curious to see how creative people are when it comes to pampering themselves.

although i haven't gotten them myself, many members say wet okole seat covers are very comfortable. they add a layer of padding to the seat.

the only comfort mod i've made to the inside of my truck is adding a microfiber charger blanket to the back seats for when i take naps at work :D

I guess seat warmers would fall into that category, although I did order them with my Wet Okoles, but anyone could do their own seat warmers if they wanted. I really only did the sear warmers for others, as I have plenty of padding myself and dont really care for it. Couldn't really tell much of a difference between the feeling of Wet Okoles and no seat covers, but its really not something I pay close attention to either.

Changed out the dash lights, as the orange was painful to look at when the lights are on. ;)

Not getting out of the truck in order to run the winch is a comfort thing as well, but probably not what your looking for.

No remote/wireless on the winch. Its wired in with 2 switches. One for main power, and one for in/out. I had to figure it out myself for the most part.

For the lights, look up the dash light mod. Its fairly easy. Here's a link

Seat covers were bought on a group buy a while ago. Dont remember what the cost was though.
