IMG_20190208_074034716_HDR.jpg I'm not a pro hater at all, in fact I like the Pro and every other Tacoma. I just wanted a longbed, silver sky and we know that's not happening. So I took matters in my own hands and did some Bilstein 5100 to raise the truck up some, added some pro Sema wheels and Toyo open country at2 SL tires to give it a nice raised up beefy look. It's fully capable of doing anything I need it to do. So then I added heated leather seats, homelink mirror from Bob's mirrors and a auto start from N2 Design. Added a set of oem predator step bars and a OEM TRD pro grill and I'm all set. All in all I think I did pretty good. I wanted the scoop and painted matched fender flares and bumper more than I needed crawl control. Now a longbed OR would be great too if you need those features. Hell they are all great and with a decent all terrian tire they are hard to stop. I just wanted what I wanted and did it for my self. Im happy with it and you will find what you want, take your time. One thing to remember is the Pro doesn't sit that much higher in the front than a OR and to me that wasn't high enough. The black wheels are hard to keep from scratching up the finish. I personally like the Pro but I find it more of a status item than it actually gets used.

I heard they effed up the Pro by putting in a damn moonroof. That WAS the best reason to buy a PRO for my year. Plush trim with NO moonroof.

Did I pay $6000 dollars extra for the trim I wanted without a moonroof?!?

    yes, yes I did

very weak (not to mention grammatically awkward)
    Troll index: 1/10

    try harder.

    you should say something like:

"The TRD Pro is the model Barbi would drive"
or "TRD Pro's are great (if you've got tiny genitals)"

If I`m not mistaken, the Pro does have a little lift over the OR or Sport no? (1.5" ?) It was mentioned it was just a shock upgrade but it is a little more than that.
Two Tacoma`s in the family now the wife`s `13 DC TX Pro and now I have a `17 Sport Access Cab. I come close to trading mine for the Pro because they had one available in my favorite color with a manual transmission, but after upgrades I have done already decided to stay the course and keep modifying what I have.
Been quite awhile since I been on here, so wife`s TX now has complete OME lift, RCI Sliders, 255/85/16 BFG`s
mine I have changed the grill added fuel tank skid, and upgraded audio OEM+, undercoating.
I need to try and load some new pictures, wish there was a way right from my phone. ??
For the OP, whatever route you go, if you like to crank up your music sometimes then you might look for whatever model with the upgraded factory sound system.

I think the PRO is 1" higher than OR. Music with the Tech/Premium is solid!

Hated because they charge up the ass for it. If the price was relative to the components for it I’m sure a lot of us here would have Pro’s.

I think they are a nice truck, and as someone mentioned, if you want one that already has a little lift and are good with it then it fits the bill perfect.
All the ones I looked at have leather but if I were shopping now I`d wait and see if the 2020 power adjustable seat was any better/more comfortable.

I love how this $10,000+ number gets tossed around.
    hilarious.

did you also walk 20 miles through 10 feet of snow to get to school when you were a kid?

    these threads never disappoint

Paid 37k for my 4x4 sport, some pros are selling for close to 48-49k in some areas so it’s not off

There’s been members who have posted how much they are paying for the pro and dealer window stickers posting. I would say 10k is pretty damn close
