I have one I use all the time for torque specs and BS notes you may run into during a project.

 

I had it mounted on my yakima tear drop rack and it was just fine

 

I'm keeping an eye out for hopefully a set of the TRD 17" Sema wheels in black, local or fairly local, for cheap... likely have to be without tires, which would be ideal since I would take my winter tires and slap them on there.

Just throwing it out there... No, I don't want to buy them new and pay to have them shipped. I would rather "help" a TW member by giving him or her the money if they are looking to sell theirs.

 

Did you check out eBay? Santa Ana Wheels sells refurbished OEM rims on eBay. I got four steelies from them for $50 each and they were in good shape.

 

I have, yes. Santa Ana currently doesn't show FJ wheels, but the cheapest set of OEM wheels are $106. Granted, they have the center caps, but they look pretty sad. I could get a new OEM wheel for $119 @ Boch, granted that wouldn't include tax or center cap (which isn't cheap), but still.

There are aftermarket replacements, but they lack the ability to run center caps.

 

ok, while we’re on the subject....
am i correct in assuming i could run the 17” FJ steel rims on my third gen (sport)
that is the lug spacing, is the same, calipers clear etc?
i think i slready know the backspacing is different

i see it's scraped and rusty but how mangled is that skid plate? Also do you have the hardware?

 

No dents or bends just a couple of scrapes.

I would have cleaned it and repainted it to make look pretty but no weather for that yet and it will probably look like that after a month anyway.

I used the same bolts that were on the OM tin plate.

 

I'm interested and will gladly do the work of cleaning/painting (probably throw a storm trooper on it lol) but they list for 250 on their site feel free to send me a pm and maybe we can work out a deal. I'm in Taunton, MA

 

I have a lower valence for sale. Improves highway MPG. Came off gen 3 2016 SR, like new. in new hampsha.
