When I go to the Toyota Tacoma website and look at the various PreRunner 2 wheel drive, Access Cab options the 4 cylinder engine is only offered with an automatic transmission. I guess they eliminated the 5 speed manual transmission that I have in my 2010 PreRunner 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder truck?
Someone please clear this up for me. I thought the manual transmission was a popular choice for the 4 cylinder trucks. Thanks.

Interesting, I can't get a Pre in access cab in my area.

Manual used to be the ONLY choice. For '11 Toyota switched, so now auto is the only choice.

And the way Toyota works online you can only build the cars that each zone wants you to buy. I had a similar story with mine - the only 4 cyl access cabs they wanted in the midwest were 4x4s. You can still get the other variations, but only by special order.

According to Toyota.com and their PDF Brochure the Regular Cab PreRunner is dropped.

"For 2011 Toyota has discontinued three low volume manual transmission models and added five four-cylinder, four-speed automatic models. The new models include: Access Cab 4x2 PreRunner; Double Cab 4x2; Double Cab 4x2 PreRunner; Regular Cab 4x4, and Access Cab 4x4."
