Thats the scenic route for sure!

If we do decide to stop by the B52 site, we definitely need to stop by the boulder that rolled down the side of Elephant Mountain last year. Its on the opposite side of the same mountain. A small hike if you actually want to get to it, but you can see the path it made from the road.

Not sure about time/route on that one though, getting from the Golden Rd down to Elephant Mtn would probably be ~1.5 hrs one way. Spend a few hours there and then head back up.. Or take Grand dude's scenic route up initially. That would take us right by it without having to backtrack, just way more time on back roads instead of I95.

So I am a noob to this sort of thing. Earlier post confirm I be all right running stock. Anything else I would need to prep for this adventure? I am gonna check work calendar tommorow the trains have been on my bucket list for awhile.

I'm curious about stock-ish trucks also. I'll have my sliders and skid plates on by then, and have 265/75/16 Wildpeaks, but stock height, and would prefer not ripping my bumpers off lol

If you have good tires a stock truck should make the trip no problem. People have actually taking a car in to see the trains before, but I should add that is during the summer.
