They are pretty new. The torque was good on the bolts. But with the miles I've put on I'm die this year for some new ones.

I have noticed shock fade a few times with the king's. Hoping the resi's will help. Though I need to update the rear to deallrbe able to push again.

Got the bitch out. Stoked I didn't have to drop the lca. Was quite easy to get to with the cut off wheel which made quick work of it.

Shock is fucked. So was the bolt

    Can't win today..

CV nut is cross threading. Can't believe it. Only second time I've had it off.

Ironic part is I have two spares...in Powell..left them there on accident. Ugh

Thread file? Sometimes I can straighten things out with those, might be able to chop the top couple of threads off and sand the edges too

It's the nut not the axle. Don't have a good way to chase it..

I've never really been able to get any type of penetrating oil to work well for me, but maybe that's due to my impatience. I just go for heat now.

Here's an informational video that compares the different types of penetrating oil out there. Based off this, Seafoam Deep Creep was the best. Science!

Found a bolt that works. Bought a new CV axle to get a new nut. But the cv itself is messed up on the first two threads now. Can't find my file of course. Means I have to walk all the way back to the store or install the parts store CV..

Can't take one from the single cab?

EDIT: Nevermind... Probably has manual hubs.

Nah it's add and I could just didn't really want to.

Went to napabto find a socket. Needs a freaking 40mm hahaha WTF?

Asked if they had a full axle and he did. Perfect nut size. Should have gone to Napa first this morning.

    IMG_20190321_102721.jpg

The most expensive nuts I've had to buy.

Yeah the 1-5/8 seemed way too loose for the amount of torque that's goes on it. Didn't like it.

Not a total loss anyways. I'll fix my oem one and put it back in. Then replace the little trucks CVS as the boots are torn. Rebuild those and have two oem trail spares as needed.

Truck is good now! What a pain.

Really need to crank the coilovers down..somehow..figure that out tonight.

No they ride actually awesome. Drive to work was great especially on the dirt.

But its too high by about 1'' of lift. Bad CV angles and I'd rather have that more in down travel. Plus my alignment isn't set for like 3'' of lift.

well... or maybe I should otherwise you'll have to deal with it with me hahaha

Hoping to finally pack a bit tonight. Man..I thought I had it all good to go, plan was to be 90% packed last night. lol

    Hmm, good point...

Grocery shopping tonight, then stack together everything that needs to go in the truck, and loading up tomorrow night. Need to check the weather to see what I can expect at night.
