I recently had to buy a cherry 01 Tacoma double cab 4x4 to round out my collection of Toyotas (TRD SE FJ Cruiser, '04 Celica, & '97 4Runner Ltd 4x4)... i spent a bit more than i wanted to but these Taco dbl cabs are hard to find for sale here:

I just added a chrome UWS tool box to the bed.

I was looking for a new center console since the 'rubber' fingers are all worn out and cracked.

Yeah... that's my fun Toy... a '07 FJ Crusier TRD SE... a limited production run of 3200 of these all black beauties!

 

Thats actually the exact same identical FJ i was looking at while i was talking to the sales guy about my taco. It was the same price and i was very close to telling the guy not to worry about shiping my taco in and just getting the FJ. I was actually very VERY close to telling him that. But i decided i would get more use out of the truck. If i did more offroading i definately would have gone with the FJ though. I like the black top and wheels and all that TRD stuff on it. i still wonder if i should have gone with it....

 

Well... i love mine! I was one of the first people to purchase one when they became available back in Nov... even though it was a limited production I managed to get it for $31,500...

My '01 Taco I bought a couple weeks ago from a guy for $14,300... those suckers sure hold their value if they are kept pretty much stock and not abused.

 

Great looking FJ, I really want to get a set of those wheels, think they would look sweet on my Taco.

Yeah, i liked the FJ's but when i saw the black TRD edition i almost cried it was so beautiful. And your damn right about Taco's holding their value. I was gonna buy an 03 or 04 until i realized that they were'nt too much cheaper than a new one

 

I felt i had to get the FJ because of my mountain bikes...


... it was odd hauling around my two Titus Exogrid bikes on the back/roof of my 4Runner that were worth more combined than the truck itself....!

 

Thats a great excuse for going out and dropping 30k on a new truck

 

it was my wife's idea actually.... she said something like:

"Honey, you know you need a new FJ so your bikes won't be worth more than your bike hauler!"
