Curse of the turd gen finally struck me...haven't had any problems until discovering the oil leak thread this morning...guess who has an oil leak and is 7k miles out of warranty. I'm pissed that none of the techs caught this while doing one of the half-dozen oil changes on my truck.

It is in plain fucking sight of the oil filter housing, no way someone didn't see this. Guessing they just turned a blind eye to it. :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::mad::mad::mad::frusty::frusty::frusty:

By the way- bought longer 14" 650lb coils for my Icons- replacing the 13" coils that it came with. Soooo much better without the added pre-load.

Dam, it's obvious that's not a new leak. I would take it in and see what they have to say about it. Worth a shot. how many miles do you have on that truck? isn't the OCI on the turds every 10K ?

edit....just one more reason to get under your truck every now and again and have a look.

I emailed the service manager and GM of Hendrick in Concord - that's where I always go even though it is super inconvenient for me.

I have a third party warranty that I got duped into buying with the truck (like $1500), but if I don't use it I get all that money back when the truck is paid off...but then again this is a $2k job if not covered by the warranty...so IDK. fuck. shit. im pissed.

Dammit. Good luck, hopefully that warranty is worth the paper they wrote it on :fingerscrossed:

Probably not if I had to guess, and they would required a deducible...probably not worth the hassle if the dealership can't somehow cover it.

It's obvious that its been there a while but no one bothered to notate it on any paperwork.

I'm in a pissy mood, so I'm probably going to call corporate and bitch at someone else too. Works slow today.

go for it, "open a case" as they say. Curious to see how Hendrick handles this, that is my local dealership as well. Have gottem a lot of camry's from them :anonymous: due for a new one at end of this year, liking the new model camry. It's the wifemobile. she likes the camry, wont consider anything else in the same class. curious about the TSS and the adaptive cruise. sounds great for road trips. :notsure:

Their service guys have always been great.

Corporate said they would "investigate" and get back with me.

Nice, good luck. I have a decent relationship with one of their service advisors, but never had to lean on them to help me out of a jamb. From same neck of the woods I am in upstate rural NY. He has a turd as well. M. ike S. hee.han (encrypted his name to protect the innocent :D)

    I normally see Chris G, he’s awesome.

Mike drives a fake Pro like me, cept his is a 18 and MGM. He came and asked me one day - “so what exactly is your truck...it has OR stickers, Pro grill, sport hood, pro wheels...we are all confused” hahaha
