Disclaimer: I don’t advocate ripping off ideas or copy catting for production value. But I don’t see anything wrong with an one off diy project based off of someone else’s idea.

 

@Rockbaron1 Do you have pics of your rock light pods? And what’s the orientation? Do you have any actual rock lights?

 

tight trails at AOAA. stairgod stopped me before I really damaged anything but the rack was going to tear my truck up if I didnt remove it. not to mention BGRs run in with some ice trees and his roof rack.

 

Its the factory roof rack off 2nd gen 4runner, its all aluminum.... I kinda like it. I also like recycling as much factory Toyota equipment as possible. But I think I've decided its going on.

 

I just have 6 cheap round led work lights mounted under the truck facing pretty much straight down.

those things are street lamps!!!

 

it should be noted that your rack stuck way up high, much higher than just about all other roof rack systems designed specifically for a tacoma
this is the problem with the universal clamps that attach up behind the door and along the door frame and roof

I’m making my own cynicalrider style street lamp as well. It was just too good of an idea, no more setting up camp in the dark for me.

 

Perfect for camping with newbs. I have my own night light

Awesome thanx. Leaning twords this route. Some mid range pods should do well to hold back moisture I reckon.

 

Damn you're going to need an easement and a couple of permits to set that light up in NJ
