It'll take a few days. They have to sit for 2 days after the acetone for it to completely evaporate before clear coating. I'll do a batch of 8 or so and post them on the etsy store once finished.

So I'm not sure what this particular version is referred to as; However, I was hoping to order this (lets call it 'Pro Grille 1.0'). As of right now its not available in your etsy store, do you think it will be in the future?

 

I am working on them now. I'll have them up by this weekend, along with retro stripes. I'll probably label them as "smoothed" because the main difference is an acetone vapor smoothing. However, the reason I haven't done those is because it's so hard to get consistent results. These 3 were all from the same batch and all spent the same time in the vapor bath but they all look different! I'm going to have to list them each individually so you guys can choose the one that looks good to you. Also, do you guys want me to get rid of the lines behind TOYOTA?

 

I say keep the lines.

I noticed the lines in the bottom emblem in your picture appear less smooth and consistent, where the top left and top right have more fine and consistent looking lines. Is that part of what you are talking about, or is that just because of the angle?

 

Yeah that is exactly what I'm talking about. The photo does distort it though, in person the lines just look less defined on the bottom one. 3d printing isn't a very consistent process so I normally toss out the odd balls like that. Even the top 2 are different enough that I wouldn't be comfortable selling them with a generic photo of the "style" though.

 

Yea, I hate to say this but I’d lose the lines. They really don’t add anything to the overall presentation. The first iteration was without lines and I would argue the subtle stealthy look inside a black cab such as mine goes with the theme I’m looking for. But that’s my option.

 

I don't know if I like them. I think they are cool, but I agree they don't really add much and make the design more busy than it needs to be.

Do our cabs come in colors other than black and really dark gray?

 

Only the sr5’s and sr’s have ash gray interior.

 

The lines do match the pro grille which I like, BUT if they are removed and better results can be achieved its not a deal breaker of a change. They are not a necessity, the comb-pattern, toyo logo and the border around the toyo logo are the essentials I believe.

As for cab colors, I know mine is mainly black and dark grey but cannot speak for everyone.

 

I like the lines in the pro grille one, but I can't have a pro grille so i vote . Still waiting on the retro to be available

Gray, black, red, etc. all are a good options imo. Black would be killer though
