I've spread out alot of my build over time. The only part of it that I've put on a credit card was my front suspension, and that was paid off in a couple months. I don't really spend money on more than one hobby at a time, and also don't have kids yet in a 2 income household. It'd be harder if I was paying a second mortgage for friggin daycare.

Oh, I forgot- learn to turn your own wrenches and shop for deals on parts. Cutting out the horseshit $80+/hr that most shops charge saves you alot of money and makes you alot of good friends

I set up a sort of under the table "uber" but for parking.
I find disabled kids at schools and then rent them out to wealthy businessmen so they can get awesome parking at airports or Panera.

Not only am I making a killing, but I am also employing the disabled which pretty much makes me a saint.
I call my business rent-a-tard but I'm thinking about changing it to something less, well, terrible.

Being single with no kids helps a ton! Then it’s being frugal with my money and saving. I’ve put off buying things for the truck even when I’ve had the money to blow for some time. It’s more enjoyable to do one or two major mods a year rather than everything at once...I don’t loose interest in my truck that way.

Bro, you're doing it wrong- invest a bunch of money in marijuana companies, then when *any* Dem wins, ride that wave to the bank!

There are some really nice truck builds on here, and even a factory TRD OR is pretty nice. Look at the age dynamics on TW. I went through the "what's everyone look like" thread a while back and had a wake up call. So many pics of people at their HS prom, and made me think. The members under 25 years old are just starting out, probably don't have a lot of income (yet), use the Tacoma as a weekend warrior/daily driver.

What I'm trying to get across is some people have a grip of money in a build, but these are the exception, not the rule. Then we have the people that learned fabrication/mechanical skills that cut the price significantly. These are my sorts of people.

Wait until some of you get into tow rigs, Toy haulers, dedicated off-road vehicles. That will blow your mind.

This past weekend I was off-roading with a 110,000.00 buggy. Did he go anywhere that all the other participants couldn't go? Nope. Could it kill us on a Ultra4 course? Hell yeah.

    Enjoy the supidity....
