@12TRDTacoma Since you like to play around with new gadgets, think you can try out those new NGK Ruthenium plugs? NGK advertises a quicker and more complete ignition and even have a square tip model for FI applications. What say you about this witchcraft?

Show me a picture of this design and any related advertising verbiage attached to it. I'll tell you if it's snake oil or worth investigating further.

Well, there is little information on them as far as part numbers go. I wouldn't mind giving these a whirl seeing as my plugs last no more than 30K before they are toast. If they suck I could just change them out. NGK makes quality stuff and I would not mind running these guys over some BS like those E3 spark plugs.

Sorry, looks like there might not be one for you guys. LFR6AHX-S would be the stock application but there seems to be none in 1 or 2 steps colder. Guess I’ll just give them a shot for my car :anonymous:

For you guys who did the Steeda tensioner.

What did you do about the spring end hitting preventing bolting it up to the bracket?

I also got the optional pulley. I guess you just ground down the spacer / sleeve and sourced a longer bolt?

I see a 6 on that which indicates a heat range of 6. Which is perfect for about 99% of us on here. Anyone running an 8 heat range plug is running overkill. Seriously.

Trim off the excess of the spring. You'll be good to go.

Cut or ground down the sleeve to the length needed and source a longer bolt. Make sure there is plenty of thread engagement in there as you do not want a failure later on because of a bolt run in there which was too short.

Cool. Thank you Sir. Absolutely need a longer bolt. It gets like two threads finger tight.

Any idea where to find a bolt wothba large flange on the head like that. I suppose I COULD just use a washer.

Yeah you want as much as you can possibly can get in there before it bottoms out. I used a washer.. I actually believe I used a bolt out of the OE tube sidesteps that was originally provided with the hardware kit. I believe it was M8x1.25. It fit in there AMAZING.

We used the stock pulley with a washer behind it. My spring wasn’t that long. I think you could cut it. It’s been working fine for months.

    Only pic I have.

I think everyone running boost understands these are maintenance whores. But all product data revealed is very appreciated!

Question for those running long tube and custom exhaust. If you have a digital afr gauge what does it volley at? Hi and low on idle. Mine might bounce from 14.6 to 15.2 o a flash. Just curious.

Mine vary from 14.6 to 14.8 with a random spike at 15.4. Under load they are rich AF. But with my recent trip I'm sketchy on ovtune. Looking for feedback. 2.5 pulley but meth has me covered on the top end.

When you're talking plug values of heat what do you consider perfect? Reason being meth users need adequate or warmer. For a water meth dose.

Oh yeah, 15 doing 65 to 85 with random boosts everywhere in between and driving like I stole it.

They are just naturally prone to more maintenance than a NA if you want it to run like a top. That's really all there is to it.

14.6-14.8 is normal. That is what I bounce between.

    See above.

Well you need a hotter plug because you are running additional fuel delivery which means you need the burn to be hotter over what the stock replacement IKH-22's are. To be honest you MAY be able to get away with running the IKH-20's which are OE NA configuration... of course you are not running meth all ththe time so there is another factor consider and I have never played with meth before on a car so don't take my word as gospel.

I'm running 24's current but looked under methanol suggestions of running 22s . Having a fluid blast on plugs it makes sense.
