Just a FYI when you put it in L Gear there is a plastic thing that will hit the switches

 

It’s that flexible plastic piece right?

 

Yes haha I cut mine and cut it a tad too much and it’s visible in park

 

Working on your truck and messing up is the worst haha...it’ll always be in the back of your mind.

Gave the Tacoma a break and worked on the SUBI-did plugs&wires the others day and now swapping the alternator out for a new one cause it’s over charging @16! While I was into it I decided to tear into the airbox,MAFS, PCV and throttle body.. after 245k I think it’s time-yikes

5th gen. Did everything myself. I didn’t install the dust plate. It’s not needed. You can push back the plate back and allow more then enough room for clearance.

Rock on. I'm shooting for installing mine next weekend. I'm doing gussetted spindles, so I'll be installing the dust shields.

Raybestos makes a new mfg caliper for about the same price as the remans, so that's what I'll be using. I'm hoping the weather holds out for Sunday, so I can paint the calipers. I'm going with red as well, but VHT caliper spray paint.

 

Yeah and they beat me to install by a couple of days....lol

 

New brakes, rotors, idler pulley+belt, spark plugs, and battery. Still once in a blue moon have a ''hard'' start even at times when its WELL above freezing temps?
